To add my nomination of We Exist by Arcade Fire, I would also like to add:
- The Bends - Radiohead (it is also produced by John Leckie and would I think would flow very well from I Wanna Be Adored - a crash bang wallop tune that would grab the attention after the lowbeat opener)

Muse - Bliss would continúe the tres of atmosferic intro but with a synth twist. And juxtaposition of adore with the jealousy of the muse track.
Take me out by franz Ferdinand A Design For life by the manics(but this would disqualify them for tracks 4 and 5 for you love us and motorcycle emptiness).
The Killers with Mr. brightside?
The Verve with the explosión of your speakers that is this is music
Daft Punk with a great instrumental track that brougt back the guitar tapping sólo in Aerodynámic?
Would you wait for your long time lost friend? Even if they are Undercover of Darkness(the Strokes)
Or would you rather shoot the runner with that bitch of a queen?😂

Maybe just keep the top 2, 3 (5 could be pushing it) tracks in contention for each slot, then work on sequencing after.

Why 11 tracks? Why not 10 or 12? Even number ftw. how about 12 + 1/2?

Second song nomination: 'Sweet Jane' by the Velvet Underground.
Thanks.

That's track number two poll up.
I'm sorry that I have had to omit some nominations because there's only a maximum limit you can add to the poll. After much head scratching I have come up with a list that I think is fair and representative so I limited each act to one nomination and, at a maximum, five nominations per member.
For bands with various nominations like The Verve, The Beatles and Radiohead, I chose the tracks that had been nominated more than once. So for example, a good few of you chose The Verve's This Is Music, so this will be The Verve's representation in this round as opposed to Slide Away or Sonnet which garnered one nomination each.

I have high hopes for Dreams by Fleetwood Mac too - pop song craft at its finest.

I've voted for Sleep The Clock Around (and no Stop Around The Clock, matt ). In my top 10 of all time, maybe even top 5. Can't decide right now for the four other choices. My bet for the win is between Eleanor Ribgy and Tonight, Tonight .

Being on an Oasis forum subconsciously bends my mind towards anything related (Stop The Clocks!).

Are we having a hidden tune on the album? The Cage would surely be the front runner!

Btw This Is Music isn't even in the poll, yet a track by the Foo Fighters is. matt!!!! I cannot believe it - there will be no winners in this round, only a loser and that is me! Apologies to everyone here. So, ATTENTION EVERYONE, I've had to restart the poll as I can't conceivably leave out the most nominated song - this has obviously been mixed up as I was rejigging it to get a fair representation due to the limits, so I've edited so you will all have to start again - this time I've locked it until Saturday arrives so then we can all anticipate who has won. Once again, huge apologies to everyone, I hope its not too much hassle.

What do you think? i'm down with this idea. i think one nomination per member per track, maybe two. that way it will be more challenging, and it might encourage more participation? also, will there be some artwork for this? looking at the list above there are LOTS of good nominees up for track #2. going to take a day or so before i cast my votes.

also i realize this is 'putting the cart before the horse', but i'm thinking if this thing is a success this year (and it's looking like it will be), maybe we can make this an annual thing?

There are so many great choices in this poll that it's almost impossible to narrow then down! Nevertheless, I'd like to throw my support behind Primal Scream's Slip Inside This House. What better way to follow up the seductive I Wanna Be Adored with a more upbeat and groovy, yet still menacing, ecstasy-inspired indie dance number?

Surprised to not see 'Sonnet' on here.
Here would be my Track 3 nominations:
Catch The Breeze - Slowdive With or Without You - U2 High and Dry - Radiohead Already There - The Verve
