Yes, a Dutch webshop listed this one as well. I would buy it if I didn't spend so much money for BHN remaster.

I have ordered it, but it has not been dispatched yet. I think it was postedponed a week (or possibly longer), as it was listed with release date 10th October on many websites. Tried tweeting Michael Spencer Jones to ask for the release date, but he's rarely on Twitter.
I will be doing a review of it for my website when it arrives, so will post the link here if people would like to see before they purchase.
From what I've heard it is only from the 'Definitely Maybe' era, so it is not the same as the 'Out of the Blue' book.

I already have the excellent "Oasis: A Year on the Road" by Paul Slattery which pretty much covered the Definitely Maybe-era. Do love the work by Michael Spencer Jones though...
Will think about getting it...

Upon checking the artwork (thanks to GlastoEls for pointing it out, it was not available when I pre-ordered) it looks like it might not be limited to 'Definitely Maybe' era afterall, so don't quote me on that. I first heard of this book ages ago, and it is not unlikely the project turned into covering a longer timespan. We'll know soon enough. I love outtakes and pictures of the band from this era. Will have to get my hands on the 'Out of The Blue' book one day.

So, I got this book the other day from Amazon UK. First impression? *Really* nice collection of stories and photos - the first print run is limited to 1500 copies and they come numbered with a signed print by MSJ. (I got an outtake from the DM cover session, not sure if they are all the same or not). The book itself is beautifully put together, comes in a slipcase and uses mixed-media - some of the pages are printed on transparent plastic, some on a kind of tracing paper so that the photos from the next pages show through. It's not just a collection of photos either - there are stories from each of the eras running alongside the photos giving you insights from MSJ's perspective. To answer another quesiotn in this thread - the book covers ALL the Oasis releases containing cover photography by Michael Spencer Jones, so this means DM / WTSMG / BHN and most of the singles too (apart from those released with pre-existing photography, like Brian Cannon's Stand By Me (I seem to remember this was an old photo he had of his inlaws? I might have gotten that wrong!). There are also studio shots (recording demos at Out of the Blue Studios, recording DM and WTSMG). Final question - is this the same book as "Out of the Blue" (which sells for a whopping £1,950-£2,750)? www.spellboundgalleries.com/out-of-the-blue.htmlstopcryingyourheartout.com/#/michael-spencer-jones/4550002516Given that this edition: - Have the same cover as OOTB - Clock in at approx the same page count (190-ish pages) - Has some identical spreads ...then I'd be pretty confident saying YES, we finally have a (more) affordable version of the £1,950-£2,750 collection, hurrah! Am sure that joakim will do a much better job of reviewing it fully, just wanted to tip the balance for anyone on the fence, as these may not be available for too long.

Yes, there's a note in the front matter of Supersonic indicating that it's a reprint (under a new title) of the book that came with the "Out of the Blue" portfolio collection. That box set was always way outside my budget, so it's great to see it available at a much more affordable price. The reprinted book's print quality is exceptionally high, there are some unique shots from the early recording sessions, and Michael's text gives a great insight into the process of creating the sleeve photographs. It also comes with an art print of one of the Definitely Maybe front cover outtakes.
I did see earlier in the year a note (possibly on Michael's site) where he mentioned he was working on a book purely about the making of Definitely Maybe, with a foreword by John Robb. Can't find the link now, but I originally assumed that this was MSJ's "Supersonic". Was pleasantly surprised to find it's actually a reprint of Out of the Blue.
Anyway, I'd highly recommend the book. The reprint is limited to 1500 copies according to the inside front cover.

Got mine today as well. #472, handnumbered, plus the aforementioned print from the DM cover session. It is indeed beautiful, heavily recommended! I had been worried about never being able to get my hands on the original Out Of The Blue edition, so this was an acceptable gift.

Really beautiful and value for money! I really need the 12'' singles from 1994-1998.

I wanted to give it a go for this first as I spent so much money for BHN box set, documentary (saw it in a cinema twice and bought a DVD), but just saw that bol.com has it for 64 Euro (20 Euro discount) and cheaper than Amazon.Uk, I couldn't stop myself to order it, so here I go there again. It'll be a nice Christmas gift for myself and (hopefully) my last Oasis purchase for this year.
It'll arrive at my doorstep in a couple of days. Really looking forward to it.

Mine just arrived and it's number 194. I didn't know the book was so big! I love Brian Cannon's work, but this book is much more worth than these coffee table books for Chasing The Sun project.

I recently needed a bit of retail therapy so I ordered that book. I'm not sure I really needed it (other than the thrill and joy of getting it!), but I have no regrets. The information about the sleeves was very interesting and the pictures beautiful. Speaking of that, young Liam really was something else, eh?
What puzzled me, where is the line between sleeve design and the photographer influencing the shot? Because if I did not miss anyhing, Brian Cannon was not once mentioned in that book as having had input. So what did he do? Or is that a matter of contention? Or did they work together?
