Hey Jordan, I got a real Last Shadow Puppets feel from it, barring strings not being there. But it felt like how they would introduce an EP, plus the bass riff on Sabrina is very reminiscent of their recent work. The shimmer guitar tone on Flowers by the Door feels extremely Alex Turner-ish. All the songs have fairly abrupt-ish endings. I don't know if an abrupt ending really fits on Flowers by the Doors. Feels like it takes away from what's a very pretty and well crafted melody. This might also be because I thought the ending piano riff was going to lead to something else rather than peter out. Also, I'm not sure Night Drive really makes sense with the rest of the collection. It feels like something from a completely separate project. It might be interesting to try to incorporate the influences from that song to the rest and see if more cohesion could be made. Overall, highly enjoyable. Congrats!

NO! Just kidding, will definitely give them a listen in a bit. What I can say is that I like the cover art. It's simple but stands out.

first i really like it. but it's wrong time when everybody listen bhn reissue 7/24 i like bass guitar riff on "Sabrina", i really appreciate your guitar playing, lyrics and vocal are good too but didn't like back vocal. to me "Flowers by the Door" it's remind me a bit mix of early Stone Roses and Smiths, don't know guitar solo Johnny Marr-ish. "Night Drive" is good example for mixing electronic disco, dubstep and indie but not my style you might like it if you didn't listen before. overall lyrics and guitars are good together. also liked artwork too.

Listening to Sabrina as I type. Love the bit from "Hooligans" - I'm having a nervous breakdown. Sabrina reminds me Johnny's Playland (if you know what I mean). I like it! Flowers By The Door has beautiful guitar riff which reminds me (again) my forever guitar hero. and I like the cover art. Like Mean Mrs. Mustard said, simple, but it's good. You're talented, Jordan and most important, you have your love and passion for music. Good luck!

Hi jordan71421 ! Listened to the 3 songs. First of all, it's really cool you take the opportunity to record an EP. Hope you enjoyed it ! I really like it. For me, "Flowers By The Door" stands out. I agree with keke about the Roses/Smiths influence. I really enjoy the late 80's / early 90's nostalgic vibe of it. I liked "Sabrina" too. Here again, Stone Roses' influence shines. I like the hook "so wake me up ! ". Wasn't as much keen on "Night Drive". Not really my type, I guess but it was not bad. Overall, it was a pleasant listen. Favourite track is "Flowers By The Door". I see potential in your work and really wanna hear more of it. Good luck !

First off mate, well done for going through the fucking hard work to get a record out... I've done it myself and it's a long painful process.
Secondly, it's a really professional job and I like the tunes. Production wise I think it's like a sleazier version of Up all Night by Razorlight. Especially the drums.
Is it just you doing it solo or are you part of a band?
I think sharing it on this forum is a fucking great thing to do as well as you know that there's people on here who are genuinely excited by new music, wheras sharing in with your mates on FB can be a bit fucking redundant!!
Hope you get to shift some copies of this and go on to make an album!!

Jordan I really enjoyed Flowers at the Door and Sabrina, nice Smiths/Roses vibes! Btw I think the lo-fi mix/mastering actually worked pretty well.

These songs are fantastic! Did you really self-produce the recordings, and play the instruments yourself? Really like how Hooligans set the tone for the album - is that a sample from a Paul Newman film? You might want to consider adding lyrics and a good guitar riff to Night Drive, sounds like a very good song in the making. Sabrina is probably the best song of the lot. Keep up the good work! Looks like you've got the potential to make it pretty far! Can't wait to hear what you'll do next.

For some reason your EP reminds me of high school some 15 years ago now.
I really enjoyed it overall. Wish I could make out the lyrics a bit better. They were a kind of buried in the mix.
The whole vibe of the thing is great though.
Well done.

I'm glad you liked it!
