I know the Stone Roses film had a decent sized release here a few years back, so surely Oasis would be just as big if not larger.

I've been hunting all over and haven't found anything. :-( I really really want to see this in theatres!

Apparently IMDB has it listed as October 14th, but who knows if that will be a proper release or a one night only live satellite broadcast event (I'm hoping the former since, as luck would have it, I'm traveling cross country that weekend).

If it does get a theatrical release it will probably only be a NY, LA, Boston extremely limited release. I'd be very surprised if I get a chance to see it on the big screen (but if by some small miracle it does open in my area, I'll be there for sure)

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.... but there are quite a few independent theaters around the country who specialize in smaller budget, more artistic films. There is a fair chance this could get played in these theaters.

Well this isn't good news - I called the HQ of Landmark Theaters (they own a huge amount of the "art" film houses in the US - see list here: www.landmarktheatres.com/contact-us-faqs). They have the schedule through January for all their theaters, and Supersonic is not on it.

They bought the art house up here near me and if they're not showing it then it's not coming within 3 hours of me. Oh well, HOPEFULLY my wife can buy me the DVD for Xmas.

I never take it for granted til I see it! Hasn't it only been listed for sale in the uk so far?

The Blu-ray is only about $22 USD shipped from Amazon UK. I doubt the US release (if it does happen) will be much cheaper than that (it might even be more expensive since it's a documentary) Not sure if it's Region Locked though. Amazon says its Region B but they always put that information and are often wrong.
Still worth pre-ordering now though while waiting for confirmation in case there is a price drop.

Apparently they haven't sold the rights for US market yet..but it's in the works.
NYC, I'm trying to get Brooklyn Bazaar in Greenpoint or Nighthawk Cinema in Williamsburg to screen it for one night at least......it's VERY important that i get to see this on the big screen!!!! hahah. A little red carpet and step and repeat? lol

A little red carpet and step and repeat? lol Brooklyn Bazaar (http://bkbazaar.com/) got back to me and they are VERY interested and I suggested having a britpop dance night after since the place can house that. There used to be a britpop night back in late 90s/early 2000s called Tiswas at Don Hills here in NYC and we all used to go, so it would be a throw back to that time. If this comes through - i'll let you know so all you tri-state people can come through to NYC for it.

It's supposed to be playing in LA. I'm on my phone so I can't post the link, but it's also through Carmike, the same as the west Virginia showibg. There's a decent chance that theater will have it through the rest of their chain.

That Florida showing is the third through Carmike that I've seen.

I hope this means more Carmike theaters get it. I have one near me.

I wonder if it's going to be at all Carmike theaters? My local theater in NJ also has a link. That would be great if it is.
