Could someone post a link to Brian's FB and Instagram? I'm having a bit of trouble finding them. instagram.com/microdotcreativeCan't see how to share a FB profile on my phone but just search for "Brian Cannon", he's the one from Windermere. Here's the post: Thanks for the link! After taking a look, it doesn't look like a serious offer to buy the tape has been made, even from that bloke who offered £10,000, it looks like he was joking. It doesn't even look like Brian put it up for sale in the first place. But I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, it could be changing hands as I type this.

It just feels a little frustrating to think that there is so much more that could have been included in the reissue boxes, especially when they are as big and pricey as they were.
The point of that box I would think would be to include everything to people willing to shell out as much for it.

Well here's a list of unreleased songs we know from roughly that time frame. But who knows... maybe it's something completely different. Unreleased songs from Noel's 1993 notebook:
Some of these song titles may describe the same songs, ones we have or haven't heard. Some of those in red could possibly be instrumental compositions: - Only My Pride - Blue/In Blue [Precursor to 'The Mirror and the Razorblade' which in turn is the precursor to 'Morning Glory'] - The Mirror and the Razorblade [Precursor to 'Morning Glory'] - Clockin' the Watch/Chill - Song in a Suitcase [Probably the same song as the 'Suitcase Song'/'Suitcase One'?] - I am Always Right!! - Is That a Fact? - Razorbarb/Talk About Me - A Shelter From the Fall - Lost Again - When I'm Around - Listen Up [Probably a different song to the one we know] - Stand by Me [Probably a different song to the one we know] - [Untitled] [Possibly unfinished. Contains the lyrics 'Body feels asleep mind is awake...'] - Tracksuit Bottoms [Lyrical except available] - [Untitled] [Contains the lyrics 'I would live in hell...'] - Being a Blue [Supposed precursor song to 'Acquiesce'] - Everything's Alright [Possibly a cover of Stevie Wonder's Uptight (Everything's Alright)? 'Step Out' link?] - Here am I [Probably the same song as 'Going Nowhere'?] - I Know a Girl [Probably the same song as 'Headshrinker'?] - I Believe [Probably the same song as 'I Will Believe'?] - Live by the Sea [Possibly the same song as 'Little Things'/'(It's Good) To Be Free'?] - Freedom [Possibly the same song as '(It's Good) To Be Free'?] - The Red, White and Blue [The song supposedly is based around a riff similar to Issac Hayes's song 'Shaft', with Noel making the most his wah-wah pedal. The song was scrapped due to being "more trouble than it was worth"] - One + Other [Possibly just a note and not a song?] - Too Much [Possibly just a note and not a song?] - New Stones/Berét - New Faces/[Illegible] - Alkerseltzer [sic] [Possible 'Supersonic' Precursor and possibly the same song as 'Helicopter'?] - Riverbank/Wind - Revolver/Sleeping [Possible cover of 'I'm Only Sleeping' from The Beatles album 'Revolver'?] - You Owe Me/Fixing a Hole Middle 8 [Probably a song based on the middle eight of The Beatles' 'Fixing a Hole'?] - Mexico/Cream - I Feel It - Paint a Mental Picture - So She Writes Up - Definitely Maybe - Callin' All [Title also seen in Noel's 1994 notebook with lyrics. Possible cover of The La's song 'Callin' All'] - Cold World - Baa Baa Papa - Helicopter Doctor [Possible 'Supersonic' precursor and possibly the same song as one of 'Alkerseltzer' or 'Helicopter'?] - Son of Flower - [Illegible] ['Why...'?] - Suitcase One [Possibly the same song as 'Song in a Suitcase'/'Suitcase Song'?] - Angel Face - Lick My Legs - Who One! [Possibly a cover of a song by The Who or more likely a composition which is reminiscent to The Who?] - On a Mission - Take Your Chances - R.K.La [Possibly Arkayla (AKA 'I Will Show You')?] OR... R.K.ID' [sic] [Possibly a Liam Gallagher composition?] - Bone's One [Probably a Bonehead composition?] - Feed Your Head [Possible 'Stay Young' precursor?] - Every Morning - Somebody Home - Don't Spook the Horse [Probable Neil Young cover?] - Little Things [Possibly the same song as 'Live By the Sea'/'(It's Good) To Be Free'?] - Rodney - My Friend Says [Possible 'Supersonic' precursor?] - I've Decided (Faces) [Possibly a song based on something by Faces/Small Faces or something reminiscent of them?] - Rex/Beatles [Probably a composition based on or reminiscent of T.Rex and The Beatles?] - Pilots - Sunday Morn' - Never Allowed - The Cat in the Hat - Out the World - I Want To Know - New Faces/Yours + [Illegible] - Joy Division One [Probably a composition based on or reminiscent to Joy Division] - Hendrix One [Probably a composition based on or reminiscent to Jimi Hendrix] - Swamp [Possibly the same instrumental as 'The Swamp Song' (AKA 'The Jam')] - Helicopter [Possible 'Supersonic' precursor and possibly the same song as 'Alkerseltzer'/'Helicopter Doctor'?] - Sunflowery One
Unreleased songs from Noel's 1994 notebook:
Some of these song titles may describe the same songs, ones we have or haven't heard: - Feeling Like I Think... - Rainy Summertime - On 'n' On - Starchild - Callin' All [Title also seen in Noel's 1993 notebook. Possible cover of The La's song 'Callin' All']
Other unreleased songs:
- Daytura Dream Defferred [1993] - Second Chances
Full Lyrics available Full Lyrics exist but unreleased Full Lyrics unknown Notes/My personal speculation
Note: New Suede Shoes, Slow, Mirrory Puddles and The Lost Chord are all post 1995.

Well here's a list of unreleased songs we know from roughly that time frame. But who knows... maybe it's something completely different... Do you think there is a recording of all these songs? Almost certainly not. I'm sure some of them are mere scraps of songs/instrumentals (likely the ones with the more unusual/descriptive titles). That said I wouldn't be surprised to hear the following tunes as they show up in Noel's notebooks at on more than one occasion. Obviously they had some sticking power. If 'Comin' on Strong' and 'Lock All the Doors' have been recorded I see little reason to suggest why some these haven't: - A Shelter From the Fall - The Red, White and Blue - Clockin' the Watch/Chill - Callin' All - The Mirror and the Razorblade [Early version of 'Morning Glory'] - Only my Pride - I am Always Right!! - Is That a Fact? - Razorbarb/Talk About Me - Lost Again - Song in a Suitcase/Suitcase Song - Listen Up [Alt.] - Freedom [Possibly (It's Good) To Be Free] - New Stones/Berét [Can't see it having kept that title] - Revolver/Sleeping [Possibly a cover of 'I'm Only Sleeping' by The Beatles] - Mexico/Cream - Paint a Mental Picture - Definitely Maybe - My Friend Says [Likely a Supersonic precursor] - Helicopter Doctor [Likely a Supersonic precursor]

I wouldn't like to guess what is on that tape, although if the era is right it could be as davidjay has said perhaps 'Wishing Stone', 'Slow' or even song titles previously not heard. As for the £10,000 offer without seeing social media as I don't really bother with it I wouldn't know if the person offering it is serious, but it could be Brian was going to share it until someone popped up with 'An offer you can't refuse' figure, which would be irritating but unfortunately is how the world works at present. I suppose at this point we shall have to wait and see...

The Crimson Rambler thanks for the comprehensive song list, I am fairly certain 'The Red, White and Blue' went on to become 'I Hope, I Think, I Know'.'Callin' All' was also a previously unheard and rather hyped song by The La's which came out on a 2007 BBC sessions compilation which may be why Noel didn't go ahead with the song and/or title. On that subject I wonder how much of those unreleased scraps/songs went on to become released songs, rather like with Bruce Springsteen, etc. when previously unheard demos have surfaced they bear a good resemblance to songs written after the demos where parts of past unreleased work have been incorporated into a new song.

I do have the song...I have also promised not to leak it. It is NOT MINE and was contacted (because I can be trusted 150%)...I didn't ASK for anything. Trust and character to me is worth more than internet fame. I'm not being a show off in any sense or have asked to be tagged etc. I just want to make that clear. I love Oasis just as much as everyone else here but it's not with me to release it. That's all.

I'm not going to hold it against you that you can't release it - contacts that you value greatly will be lost in an instant, I get it. Are you able to at the very least describe the tune? A few lyrics, what it sounds like etc...

It's very very mellow, calm and if you listen closely a verse sounds a bit like a slow very mellowed out version of EDIT: "The Fame" but then quickly changes to a different sound in the chorus. That's all I can and will say. I don't want to reveal any lyrics as its not my place. I ask you all not to be upset with me for that but rather try and understand my point. Peace and love x

Conspiracy theory: maybe Supersonic is being delayed so these newly discovered songs can be added to the Soundtrack.
Brian is now just starting the marketing hype...

After reading that Facebook thread there is no chance we're going to hear the tape never mind club together and buy it.
Another one out of our reach but I guess you can't miss what you don't have... Maybe we'll hear it on the 30th Morning Glory anniversary!

I dunno, my feeling with a lot of these 'long lost demos' is that if it was any good we would have heard it 20 years ago.

Thanks oasisdna for sharing what you can. Sorry if I tagged you in my first post but I was sure that you could contribute with some interesting info to the discussion. Well, that's it then. We'll never hear it and it's sad to see another lost track slipping through our fingers. Just another ordinary day in the Oasis community, I guess

He's mates with the band and has only just finished working with them on the Chasing The Sun project. Can't imagine Noelly Poly being too impressed by this behaviour. Brian could lose future work on other Oasis anthologies etc in the future if he does this.

It never stopped Alan McGee putting CD's and tapes including the Giants demos to the Britpop Store guy a couple of years ago so if he was offered enough then you never know. I don't follow Brian Cannon on Facebook or any other social media so I'm not 100% sure of his personality or the tone he uses while posting, in some of that thread he reads as sarcasm and some reads true.
