I fully expect Liam to pad out his solo live gigs with Oasis songs. It's the only way he'll fill big venues (as Noely Poly knows) so although I respect his refusal to do so with BDI I think he'd be mad not to this time round.
So what's your dream Liam setlist? Obviously we don't know his solo songs yet, but there'll be space for 5-10 Oasis and BDI songs easily.
Given Liam's love of BHN my opening shot across the bow is:
D'yer fookin' Know What I Mean!?!

I'm firmly of the opinion - which will split this forum no doubt - that the principal performer of a song has the moral right to play it live.
And so thus something like this would be lovely!
1) New Solo Song 2) New Solo Song 3) Flick Of The Finger 4) New Solo Song 5) Cigarettes & Alcohol 6) Supersonic 7) The Roller 8) New Solo Song 9) Millionaire 10) I'm Outta Time 11) New Solo Song 12) Songbird 13) Start Anew 14) New Solo Song 15) Lyla
16) New Solo Song 17) Wigwam 18) Columbia

I want him to sing Dont look back in anger. Potato would be furious.
Now seriously, my set depends on how his voice is nowdays, although without noel around I guess all of the oasis catalogue can be played at a lower key.
Around the world, if I can dream

I wouldn't want to hear any Beady Eye song other than Flick Of The Finger.
As for Oasis songs, he's got as much right to them as Noel has. Hopefully he'll give us a good mix of his own new songs, Oasis classics, maybe one or two lesser heard Oasis tracks (i.e. Go Let It Out) and a cover or two.

Nothing Noel has written and something he is able to sing.

He should go purist this time! I'd like to hear him sing I'm Outta Time, Songbird, Pass Me Down The Whine and Boy with the Blues, maybe end it with Columbia. Flick Of The Finger, Soul Love and Wigwam, are the only Beady Eye songs he should play.
Edit: No, he should actually end with BE HERE NOW!

I reckon he'll bin off Beady Eye songs, pretending it never happened. Fresh start post Oasis.

He's the new Paul Weller. Finally going solo after being in two bands.

Let's say 8-10 new songs +
Flick Of The Finger Soul Love The Morning Son Wigwam
Born On A Different Cloud Songbird I'm Outta Time Boy With The Blues
(Little James??!) ((Bring The Light...?))

I'm guessing that, based off of what Liam's being saying about his songs and the acoustic nature of it, some of the non-solo songs he'll perform will probably be more acoustic-based, with some electric elements of course, and playing medium sized venues or something for now, so I'd say:
Songbird Pass Me Down the Wine I'm Outta Time Boy With the Blues Guess God Thinks I'm Abel
Bring the Light The Morning Son Start Anew (could easily be a set closer) Flick of the Finger
Then you have the solo songs, so you could alternate all of those songs throughout the tour, assuming the setlists will be around 14-16 songs.

Wasn't Songbird written about Nicole?
Anyway, I hope will play about 15 songs and play his whole album (10-11 songs).
Oasis songs: Columbia Live Forever D'You Know What I Mean? Boy With The Blues
Beady Eye: Start Anew Evil Eye
Set closer: I Am The Walrus Sons Of The Stage Gimme Shelter My Generation
I really hope will stay far away from Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.

Nothing Noel has written and something he is able to sing. Why not? Liam wasn't the one who wanted to stop with Oasis, if he likes to play these songs why not?

I really hope will stay far away from Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. I'd say at least one of them is inevitable. I don't really have a problem as a lot of casual fans will really want to hear him sing those songs.

It would be really really cool if his solo material was strong enough to fill an entire setlist with a couple of Oasis songs as an encore. Probably being too optimistic here

Probably being too optimistic here I hope this will happen, maybe open with Columbia and Cigs & Alcohol in the middle and finish with Rock 'n' Roll Star and a cover (Gimme Shelter, Sons Of The Stage, My Generation or I Am The Walrus)

75% of his solo album, some of the CLASSIC Oasis tracks (C&A, CS, Wonderwall etc) and MAYBE some Beady Eye. MAYBE (most of it is shit - if you try to deny it then you haven't got a leg to stand on because the band flopped and so did the live gigs)
Ultimately, Liam is about to be his own man. He did the right thing in trying to branch away from Oasis and not play their stuff (at first). He held the moral high ground to an extent. But it didn't work, unfortunately. He needs to play Oasis tracks and play them well

His talent is for singing songs, not writing them, so why restrict him to his "own" material? That didn't work out so well last time round. Many would argue Liam has some ownership of those songs his voice made iconic, even if he didn't write them. Also, *everything* he sang didn't sound too hot last time I saw him... so that's not an argument for him to only sing his own material over Oasis classics! It's an argument for him to get to bed early on this tour, gargle honey and stay off the charlie...

And I believe that was the point of this thread, no? Although I'd rather hear him do an Oasis song than a cover, which is a waste of time if you ask me.

Nothing Noel has written and something he is able to sing. Why not? Liam wasn't the one who wanted to stop with Oasis, if he likes to play these songs why not? I'd rather he performs his own written songs only, whether that be songs for this solo project, Oasis or Beady Eye. Then he'll be working solely off his own merits and will avoid the inevitable critisism of playing songs written by his brother or anyone else.
