lubeckI know it wasn't asked for, but here is an opinion anyhow... I LOVE the tenderness of the vocal. Only wish I could hear better what was being said. The guitar sounds, at times, disjointed from the melody. Not sure if this is intended or not. Overall... a pleasurable experience. Thanks, man. Would agree. The vocal melody is nice. The actual guitar melody in the chorus is really good. There's a lot of potential. I think the rhythm in the verses are a tad bit overplayed, that is a slightly softer touch is needed in the strum. Makes the vibe a bit too angry, when the song at its heart is subtle and sweet.

Nice job on the tune! Your vocals sounded really nice and I loved that chord progression you used. If you ever send more stuff to the labels, be sure to include that one. It sounds like one of your best.

I'd consider rejigging the structure of the song a little. At the start of the song for example it feels like there should be another verse before the guitar breakdown happens. I'd also note that the breakdowns during the verses feel like they're breaking up the flow of the song too much. The first half of that first breakdown is really good and feels totally natural but the stuttering end to it just breaks up what has come before it. It feels rhythmically inconsistent - not something you'll find too many songs do! It's definitely got potential though and once again you've done a solid job of the outro - again my favourite moment and something I'd consider extending. Really great work there. Anyway good job as always!

Do you sing any of your songs in French? *French pride mode off* No. I've tried it once but it sounded like shit. Maybe I will try it again one day, but for now I'll stay with english

Good stuff mate! I think next time you do a demo you need to put the vocal a bit higher in the mix as I found it hard to hear the lyrics but the melody was nice. I agree with spaneli that the guitar strumming needs toning down a bit, trying picking the strings slightly now and again, would sound good. Keep it up!

That's really nice, lubeck. I agree with what spaneli and Rolo wrote in their posts, the aggressive strumming here and there clashes a bit with the mellow and delicate mood of the song, and the break immediately after the first verse looks a bit out of place in my opinion. It's another song with very strong potential though, I love the melody and the mood!

Good melody, catchy, sounds a bit early Oasis-y to me. Can not really understand what you're singing sometimes though.

Nice! I like how you're developing as a melodist. Mean Mrs. Mustard's comment about how it can be hard to understand what you're singing gave me the idea that maybe you could add some atmospheric dream-pop layers to your songs and see how that turns out. If you're a fan of effects pedals.

It sounds good! I like the melody, like others have said, and it sounds really sincere. This feels like quintessential Britpop in some ways. With that said, I could picture an interlude with a bright horns section at about 1:25, if you were to develop this song to that point. Nice work lubeck !

Thanks guys for the feedbacks, I appreciate it ! @supermario yeah, the verses chord progression is indeed very similar to BBH. I begun to write in the key of A on the piano but then put a capo 2nd fret for the guitar. It's a bit a mix between BBH, Spaceman and something Elliott Smith could have written aroud 1995 (especially "Coming Up Roses", very good track, you might check it out, I am sure you'll like it). Et sinon, oui, je vais essayer de continuer à écrire des mélodies de bonnes qualités mystoryisgory thanks for the recommendation I have actually already a good idea of how the tune is gonna sound: mix electric/acoustic, with strings in the background and subtle drums. But your idea will fit very well with a slow acoustic number I've written a few weeks ago (miss some lyrics though).

Sounds good lubeck. I like chord progression you're working with, lots of breathing room. I'd probably trim a few syllables here and there to stop things become a bit wordy and emphasise the melodic route you're taking but all in all nice work. In terms of the recording itself: I assume you're playing without a plectrum here? Personally I think you would benefit from using one as I think the guitar track is in need of some punch. I get it, it's a demo, yeah, but by making every part of a recording as strong as you can you will be better able to isolate other parts which could be improved and therefore improve your overall performance. I know some people in the past have suggested to add some oomf to your vocals... well if you lay down a really solid guitar track I think it could push you to match it and take vocal performance up another notch. Do you record your guitar tracks seperately or is it all one take? Anyway, keep up with the good work and keep on writing pal. Remember how many songs were in Noel's notebooks and don't forget his early (~1989) demos preceded even that!

Not the best way to record demos but the only one I have at the moment, waiting for the mic I've ordered to arrive. When I receive it, I'll make way better recorded demos with my band (we still miss a bassist, though).

I Love it! It sounds a bit like a cross between the beta band and Noelly G's acoustic songs like Take Me Away, Sad Song etc. The relatively simplistic yet meaningful lyrics really work for this song and I think you have a great voice. If you are going to record this in the studio (which I definitely think you should) I would try to make it sound more like the strings version as they really add to the peaceful and calm feeling of the song and make it sound more polished.
