So, I've been thinking of getting an Oasis tattoo (forearm), but I'm not sure as to what I should get. I'm not sure whether to go simple with the logo, lyrics, incorporate Liam & Noel's faces, Union Jack guitar etc. I am, however, trying to stay away from generic tattoos including "Live Forever" and "Definitely Maybe" for example. Any suggestions on what I could get would be great

I'm not that big fan of tattoos but I'd probably take something small. Piece of lyrics maybe. Like you said, nothing generic. Maybe some smart lyric of your favourite song? Remember, it will probably be there for the rest of your life so be sure you'll be proud to wear it in your 50s

Ive got the CD image from the Falling Down single on the back of my upper arm. www.discogs.com/Oasis-Falling-Down/release/1687149Personally I wouldn't get either Noel or Liam's face, it's a bit tacky for me but a lyric or an image from some album or single would be cool. I've been considering a line from Live Forever for a while as I've not had a tattoo done in 7 years now, I have a feeling if I get it I'll want more like previously I had 8 done within 9 years! They are addictive!

Beady’s Here Now probably has an Oasis-related "tramp stamp" on his lower back. God bless.

Go with lyrics. 100%
Pictures are great but you can see them across a room. Chicks actually have to come over and roll up your sleeve to read lyrics so... Your choice
I've got the Masterplan lyrics down my upper left arm. To this day it is still my one and only tattoo.
I did consider getting lyrics from Reckoner by radiohead tattooed on my left side torso. But I put on two stone so sacked the idea off

mystoryisgory has a theory that Beady’s Here Now has tattooed the line 'The Truth Is On Your Stereo' and the lyrics of The Nature Of Reality on his ass.

I'd never get a tattoo for dozens of reasons, full disclosure.
But, I would suggest looking through the artwork and posters they used for their tours for inspiration and then drawing an original design or having someone else draw it for you. I always thought the Tour of Brotherly Love logo would make an awesome tattoo. (Getting two bare breasted women right on your forearm might not be the smartest thing, of course!)

Yeah, I'll take a look at various posters/ artwork and try to piece something together, thinking of a design rather than just lyrics or a logo

Still unsure on just lyrics or getting a design drawn up, though...

"Taking drugs is like having tea in the morning."
or
"He's a man with a fork in a world of soup."

I'm thinking of having the Oasis logo and incorporating the clock from 'Be Here Now' somehow, not sure what else I'll add in though

I've never been a fan of tattoos, but if I were you, I'd keep it simple. Gaudy tattoos can be such an eyesore.

What about maybe combining it with some other interest you have? One of the coolest tattoos I ever saw had the prism from the Dark Side of the Moon cover with Calvin and Hobbes riding out on the light wave in Calvin's wagon.

I've never been a fan of tattoos. My granddad had one and I saw how the colour of his tattooes fading away when he got older. If you want to do it, keep it simple.
