I just can't understand why they haven't promoted the acoustic EP. I think it was only ever meant to be a little surprise release for fans, and I wonder if the lack of promotion was a way of emphasising that it was only that, as opposed to a new album. Although its an EP, its long enough for the UK album charts, and they didn't want it to look like a cheap and inadequate move on Liam's behalf. I can recall a few releases in recent years featuring re-recordings of artists' songs that got that kind of reception.

Still can't bring myself to love Once.
Wouldn't be out of place on a Robbie Williams record.
Don't necessarily mean that as a bad thing. Always said it's got one of the best soaring choruses since the Oasis days.
But still - it's very Robbie.
The Milan vid is ace but, y'know, kind of proves my point.

I went to a Robbie concert last year covering for a friend who had dropped out. Robbie talked a lot, changed costumes, pranced up and down the stage, used props, introduced his dad who sang a song, and totally ran out of breath towards the end. I didn't enjoy it. The support act - The Bamboos - were fantastic. I bought The Bamboos music as soon as I got home While I respect your view, I would not link the Milan footage to a Robbie concert.

Ironically I reckon I have only listened to most of Noel's EPs once, if that. Still it's only banter, I'd be surprised if it was Noel doing the tweeting.

The Milan video proves only that Oasis fans love Once. A lot. I dont get this RW thing. Once is the kind of tune of Stand by be or Dont go away. Its 100% Oasis. It's clear Noel tweet is just envy.

Mass singalong at a Gallagher concert confirm that a song sounds like Robbie Williams tune? Nah I’m not having that. If you were to ultra critical I’d say Misunderstood is closest Liam has veered towards Robbie Williams.

It's just a song that really reminds me of Angels. Like I've said, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I have never loved Once like a lot of people do but I appreciate why people love it. There's poppier songs on WMWN? that I like more than Once, for example.

Well they were always very similar. There's that great vid of the guy who plays the entierety of Be Here Now on piano and it's mental how much some of the songs - like I Hope I Think I Know, Stand By Me etc - would not sound out of place on a 2000s Coldplay record. Again, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It shows those melodies and hooks for what they are. But they are very similar. They're not 'rock' - but they never were in the first place. Had Robbie Williams or Coldplay put out Once, there would have been no surprise. That's my point. I'm glad they didn't. I'm glad Liam did it. I don't not like it. I just don't love it.

Fair enough, I meant more in the phones in the air type thing is what you see at a Robbie/Coldplay gig etc. It wasn't meant as a gig. It's 2020 and people held up lighters for DLBIA/Wonderwall years ago I'm sure.

Rome and Milan were the most beautiful solo concerts. So said Liam and Bonehead

And yeh I don't think it's strange that the audience is young. Liam - and Noel - still attract audiences of all ages, Liam especially. It's great. I just don't love Once like others do. It's one of them that I think if another artist does (like my examples) nobody (on here) bigs it up, really. I don't think that's the same for songs like Live Forever, CS, or even Stand By Me etc and that's why I don't put it in the same category.

I'm of the opposite view, Once is probably the only tune they've done solo that I would say Noel could have written in the 90s and it would have been massive. Now That I've Found You is more Robbie Williams territory and hence I hate that tune.

If we are picking our 'most like Robbie Williams' song then its Be Still for me. Sounds like a Life Through A Lens B side. Mind you most of that album was trying to sound like Oasis anyway so it's not much of a surprise.

Now That I've Found You is more Robbie Williams territory and hence I hate that tune. Fair enough See, I think Once is trying to be mid-2000s Oasis. It's like Let There Be Love's wannabe - to me! But it's just my opinion. I totally understand that people love it. Whereas for me, Now That I've Found You has that joy that Oasis in the 90s brought. That upbeat feeling and vibe and that's why I love it. I'd say it's poppier than Once, so agree there, but to me Once feels more manufactured - for lack of a better term (more like LA guys trying to recreate 'generic Oasis ballad') - than Now That I've Found You, which to me is more original because of how fun it is.

I think Once is a fucking belter of a song. I don’t give a flying fuck about the Cool/Pool/School rhymes either. No, it’s not quite as good as Oasis back in the 90’s, but even Noel can’t do that anymore. This is as near as it will ever get these days.

‘Gone’ was just featured on a tv show about 40 years of the Brit awards! Liam featured a few times on the show.

Molly tells in Grazia magazine that 'Now That I’ve Found You' was a Christmas present and Liam played it to her on Christmas Day 2018. "Everyone was listening at the table getting emotional."
