Reminds me of when you ask your mates what their top 10 songs are and no one says their real top 10 because they have to appear as diverse and hip and have an extensive knowledge of music.
Thanks.

Didn't Noel pick A Guy Called Gerald's 'Voodoo Ray' as one of the songs he'd have with him if he were stranded on a desert island?

This Charming Man is the most unlikely song I could imagine to be played at a football match.

I hope that whatever is to come of Liam in the years ahead, his career never sinks to the depths of John Lydon's in the late 90s/00s.
I don't want that for him. And I don't want that for me, or anyone else who still tries to support him in his endeavours.

It was quite shambolic as an era for Johnny, but in fairness he nails Courtney Love even if he does come across as a bellend doing it

It was quite shambolic as an era for Johnny, but in fairness he nails Courtney Love even if he does come across as a bellend doing it Yeah, I'll give him that. And he is still entertaining in the way he says of Ozzy, "You've done such great stuff over the years", that drawling cockney accent of his implying he's being a devious little cupcake and not actually meaning any of the praise he seems to be giving. But that Neil Young impression at the end was bang out of order. He should have shown some fucking respect. After all, Neil did, when he wrote that song. That's where My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)/ Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black) came from, wasn't it, his appreciation of the Punk scene? Obviously, our Liam isn't the brightest spark (at least not in the sense of being well read), and he doesn't seem to have any filter on what he says, so he can come out with some silly things, but I'd like to think he'd have more decency than to do something like that.

Liam should write lyrics in the same way he talks. That would be highly entertaining

Liam should write lyrics in the same way he talks. That would be highly entertaining Bonehead's Bank Holiday (LG's 2017 Rethink)

Now, I would like to see some The Fall, New Order -Madchester- influenced songs on the solo record.

Now, I would like to see some The Fall, New Order -Madchester- influenced songs on the solo record. Liam has always been pretty safe with what he likes and praises, even in the 2016 interview/story about him. I'd LOVE for him to do something like that and leave his Lennon obsession behind, but that's like expecting Noel to take less than four years between albums. On a side note, I'd also love to hear that kind of music in a stadium. They play the worst shit here. Although This Charming Man and Waterfall seem a little out of place, don't they?

Surely that playlist wasn't picked by him. Or he had to choose from a restricted number of tunes

Did anyone hear about that time that Guardian hack slagged The Cure off for putting two 3 hour shows on for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and Robert Smith took to the band's social media accounts and fired back with: ?
Fuck yeah! That's basically a more lettered version of your classic 'Liam rant'. Granted, Smith doesn't call anyone an "old tart" or suggest they "have another line", but we can work on that. And "ONWARDS" does sound a lot like Liam's typical "as you were" closing line...
All I'm saying is: COLLAB.
Just imagine it, The Pope of Mope and The Manchester Mauler, together at last! Liam G, in good voice, singing over one of ol' Bob Smith's gothic atmospheric pieces? Yes please!! And as well, as Smith's always writing lyrics of love gone cold (despite the fact he's been married for years, to his childhood sweetheart), it could actually make sense our Liam singing his words as well - you know, what with all that's happened in his domestic life, in recent times...
OK, theyknowwhatimean, calm yourself.

Why do you think people choose to buy Oasis Creamery organic salted butter? Because it's the bollocks, that's why. To be quite honest with you. It's the best organic salted butter in the fuckin' world--and it'll probably be the best organic salted butter I ever fuckin' taste--so, yeah... Next question.
