Agreed. Who would have thought that Liam would ever achieve all this only a few years ago? Crazy.

The marketing has been great. But what's been greater is the realisation that there's a need for Liam Gallagher in this current musical landscape.

It's two years ago today since Liam released the Now That I've Found You single.

So did anyone see him on Stand Up To Cancer? I didn't watch it so I don't know if he was on or not.

So did anyone see him on Stand Up To Cancer? Turns out he wasn't there! The tweet must've been a lie (I watched the whole thing just for him so safe to say I was disappointed)

I spent a lot of the past weekend listening to all of the oasis records again for the first time in a while and then I listened to AWY and Why Me? Why Not. and I gotta say, I think Liam is making the best music he's made in at least 15 years if not longer. I'm a Liam fan so it's objective but I listen to his solo albums more than oasis these days.

It’s that blend of being in the hands of professional music industry folk and his raw, spontaneous attitude - it just balances perfectly. Great marketing, top skilled songwriters and all pulled off with the effortless charisma and voice of Liam.
What him and Noel are doing provides a greater legacy to Oasis than if they were still churning out mediocre Oasis albums like they were in the 2000s.

That's another reason why I don't want Oasis back because of their albums in the 2000s which weren't as good.

Absolutely nailed it.

The thing is though that if they ever do something together again, they're not going to just pick up from 2009 as if nothing ever happened and they never both had extremely successful solo careers and were never influenced by 15+ years of music and life experiences since then. Whether it's a song or a one-off concert or whatever, it would certainly be something different from what you've heard before because they are different. They are both happy with where they are now. No reason to rock their separate boats. But in 5 years, things will be different again. Might be both are still just as happy doing their things. Might be the current Oasis Revival has cooled off, they've done what they wanted solo for the time being and they're both suddenly in the mood to do something, big or small, together. Both of those have potential. Nobody knows the way it's gonna be.

But as I've said before Noel and Liam will have to sort everything out between them first if they ever did do something together again.

Watching LG TRNSMT 2021 for the fifteenth time. Not an exaggeration.
Like wtf am I watching? His resurrection defies what should be humanly possible.
____
Starting in 2005, I would get ever nervous when listening to Liam - please no Kermit, please no shouting, please no pulling away from the mic, please stop cutting off notes. Please.
And more often than not, his performances were okayish and passable at best - until the Beady Eye days. But it’s real hard instinct and now fully developed habit to shrug off - the fact that he will struggle despite zero signs of that since 2017.
Everything about TRNSMT 2021 is literally perfect. Vocals, Set list, backing singers, crowd, Liam’s cool as fuck hair, his random musings of banter, and his mannerisms. I can’t stress how excellent this gig is. Blown away.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Alright Now is one of the best songs to come out in the post Oasis era. I absolutely love it.
