After seeing the England squad get announced, it got me thinking, does anybody remember when England used to hold random 'B' internationals? I remember when Chris Sutton got called up to one and then refused saying something like if he can't get in the main line-up then what's the point....think that was the last time they had a match actually. Just wondering if anybody else thinks they should/could bring them back?

under sven it wasn't needed as he would put the b team on in the second half of friendlies.

Glenn Hoddle used the B-Team setup, too.
Ignoring the remarks that got him sacked, I actually liked Hoddle's England. World Cup '98 was immense, and I still have strong memories of that Argentina match - even though we lost, it was one hell of a game.
