Leeds United's South African defender Lucas Radebe will announce his retirement from international football at the end of the Premiership season. The 34-year-old is calling time on his days with the Bafana Bafana after 69 caps in a bid to play more games for the Whites next season. He told reporters at Elland Road: "I do get a lot of swelling on my knee and it gets really stiff, but it's a good pain because I got it through what I love most, playing football. There's no better pain than that. "We have had some ups and downs with the club, but since I have been here I have got really attached to the club. "Sometimes it hurts when the club isn't doing so well. But I think we've showed a lot of character. "With the new manager coming in as well I didn't want to be left behind. I always want to make sure I can contribute to the club as long as I can and do the best I can for the manager and the club. "I think now it's crucial for me that next season I focus more on the club than the national team." mattmightsay~ keeping you up with all the leeds united News 24/7 !
