How do you know? Liam doesn't have to tell us everything. He hasn't said so on Twitter, because he hasn't said so on Twitter. ffs Man you got to stop defending Liam like he can do no wrong. Do you honestly think Liam cares what you think? All this celebrity worship - none of them, Liam included, give a fuck about their fans. The truth always hurts. Enjoy the music. There it ends. On the contrary. They give many, many, many, even countless fucks about their fans. That doesn't mean they have to share their real personal lives. And it certainly doesn't mean the Gallaghers of all people won't engage in cheeky myth-making. But Liam goes above and beyond in fan service, so this is an unfair knock on him. You can enjoy him without worshipping him (though he certainly digs the worship, too.)

They need to be seen to do their bit. It's a trade-off. That kid who got the maracas at the IOW - staged. Funny he was also photographed backstage with Bonehead after the gig. Those Irish kids on the street Liam got out of the car to get on the guest list on the first solo tour - staged. Maybe it's just my opinion, then fine. Or maybe I know something. Like I said, the truth hurts.

Like I said, the truth hurts. Not sure I get your POV. Are you suggesting Liam is just cynically sitting back cackling at his fans while he counts his gold coins and doesn’t feel legitimately moved at times by all that fans say to him or do for him? If he's just a cynical **** he could do a lot less for his fans and still sell pretty much the same number of records. Rock and roll, baby. Plenty of rock stars never talk to their fans at all. So why does he do it? That scenes are sometimes staged for docs is not news to me. Actually been there and done that. I don’t know in this case but if you say you do then fine. So what, though? Kids still got the tix, didn’t they? Here’s the thing. Maybe I have a reason to know a bit about celebrities. Maybe I don’t. They are just human beings. They are just like everyone else except with 1000 x the charisma, looks, money and sometimes talent. They are flawed and insecure and fucked up and rude and do stupid things and sometimes they are generous and magnanimous and inspirational and giving. They are caught up in their private lives and friends and family like anyone, but they also care deeply about being loved and even more so about their work being loved. Not suggesting Liam is Santa Claus or the second coming, but you’ll have to provide better evidence than that he might have staged a nice moment in a documentary (if you do know what you’re saying) to prove he simply doesn’t care at all.

When I saw Liam at the end of 2019 in Auckland I happened to be in the same burger place where him and others with the group were eating lunch. He gave the girl who served him free tickets to the concert that night and she was blown away. Staged? Don't think so, there was nobody else around to tell except us and it's not like it's something you'd run to the media with.
Not saying he's perfect, but to say he's some cynical bastard who's using everyone for money and feels nothing towards them is ludicrous.

How do you know? Liam doesn't have to tell us everything. Yeah, it's a pretty good trick, IMO - tell people more than they expect to hear, and they'll assume you're telling them everything. But we know Liam is quite willing to leave some truthy bits out or deny them outright if he doesn't like them. (See his insistence that all photos of him with an earring are "photoshopped.")

I did not you're twisting my words. I was only asking you a question there, I didn't quote you. (As I said, to quote, I'm "not sure I get your POV," and that's what I meant.) What you said was that Liam "doesn't give a fuck about his fans" and that he views his fans as "a meal ticket." So if you want to clarify that, go ahead.

Exactly, we don't know everything about what Liam actually tells us on Twitter, like in this latest incident with the helicopter fall. And, the same with Noel, we don't know everything about what goes on with him either. I mean they're not going to tell us everything about their private lives if anything at all.

I was just about to say the same thing. I wonder what it is? Hopefully a new album and tour. But we'll see.

I will say that the timing of this announcement really ties into the Knebworth momentum and his management probably has considered this and may have moved up an announcement that may have been scheduled for end of 2021.
