Well I am living in Ilford (out east) at the minute. It took me over two hours to get into central London today (via bus detours all over). Big deal some may say, but it was gridlock in Ilford all day, all public transport was delayed (my bus was 30 minutes late). And that is crucial - migrants are pushed out to the outer regions of London, and Ilford is very very heavily migrant. And migrants will obviously vote Remain. But, given there is a general apathy to politics in this area, in addition to the terrible weather, well I think that Remain may have lost a big chunk of voters. And where was the Remain campaign teams in migrant areas? Absolutely nowhere - Lib Dems and Labour had campaign HQs in North London, pathetic really as they were preaching to the converted (many of them white middle class hipster regions inevitably Remain). There's been a massive failure to tap into a lot of potential Remain voters in areas with ethnic minorities. Its been a failiure of campaign style. People didn't like the scaremongering and fear, it got there backs up. The biggest mistake being Osbourne's utterly moronic budget statement, its like the Tories thought that the trick worked during the election so they would just repeat it. Strangely it was Corbyn or Sky the other day who was the most balanced, he didn't want to go into Europe in the first place but was eloquent about why it was a good idea to stay. But why listen to the quiet man when you can shout louder. I thought Corbyn was excellent on Sky, calm and measured. As were the Lib Dems - everything they said was positive. But with a party that is decimated and almost extinct and a media that refuses to take on board what Corbyn says, and more interested in the Tory infighting soap opera, then it was never going to receive much attention sadly.

The SkyNews reporting is doing my head in - every Vote Out gets some sort of explanation that it'll make little difference. Bullshit. Own up and say things aren't going too well atm, ffs. Sky News is utter bullshit, tabloid TV. Get it on the BBC, much much more in depth.

Does/Should Cameron resign if Leave wins?
I say no - how can you create even more instability out of all of this mess?

Does/Should Cameron resign if Leave wins? I say no - how can you create even more instability out of all of this mess? The Tories will tear themselves apart and Boris Johnson will become leader. Camerons position is untenable in a leave win. Just on BBC, a senior Labour figure has said he thinks Leave will now win.

Another question. How can Scotland in the event of a leave vote stay in the UK when it looks like a 60-40 remain Scottish vote? Another Independence referendum on the cards.
The UK on the whole is an absolute mess.

The UK on the whole is an absolute mess. This has been the argument up there for ages. In fact the remain vote is so strong up there for that very reason. Indyref2 innit. (To steal a Beady’s Here Now ism ).

The UK on the whole is an absolute mess. Yeah, it could topple the UK, and topple the EU and Europe. The international implications are absolutely massive - the whole world is watching, all international media is following this (Lindsay Lohan just retweeted the Shetland result - not even kidding!). Much of the world is not just wanting us to remain but needing us to remain, and we're screwing this up royally.

So this could result in the Prime Minister resigning, and Scotland issuing another indyref (that's for Flatulence Panic)? And that's only the indirect results.....This is so fucking stupid.

@afneil: In crucial London, word is inner London v strong for leave but outer London not so much. Spread betting now for leave for first time.

If it is Leave, then the PM will not resign - at least not immediately. The pound will have crashed, but if the PM resigns, then the markets and pound will go from poor to absolute catastrophe. If he resigns, then it will be absolute anarchy.

It's weird watching the results coming in seeing all the places in England voting leave and my total ignorance of English geography having no idea how significant they are or not haha.
