I hope the Bowie estate (or whoever's in control of such things) reissues Station to Station on vinyl. It's fucking killer.

Weird how even one and a half years later it still doesn't feel real.

Just been going through his 70's output again, has any artist had a golden run like Bowie. Every album been of top quality. The run of Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane is the best trilogy in rock for me. Not a duff song in those three albums, plus Bowie always looked cool as hell even when he was off his tits on coke.
An album that I've recently fallen more in love with has been Station to Station, Bowie still has his feet in the Funk and Soul of Young Americans but is looking forward already to his Berlin period. Only 6 songs on the album but every one is a classic. Golden Years is one of his greatest singles. The Title Track is just stunning. TVC15 is the track closet to the vision of his work with ENO in Berlin. Great album.
A track that I can't get out of my head is from his early 90's period from the BBC adaption of Buddha of Suburbia, a track called Stranger's When We Meet. He put a version of it on 1 Outside but I prefer the version from the Suburbia Soundtrack, as it could have been recorded during the Hunky Dury period.

I just keep hearing about him and Led Zepplin basically repeatedly "having sex with" (raping) underage groupies like Lori Maddox. I'm not informed on the issue or anything, but I wondered if any of the Bowie fans on here could explain what the deal is...whether the accounts are true, or what.

That's a great quote. I hope he actually said it, and it's not just something a chancer has dreamt up for some attention online.

Actually, I was even wondering if it was sarcasm because it's unlikely for anybody who's involved or interested in music not to know about Bowie's passing. But after a long day spent at university, I didn't really question any remarks on the forum anymore tbh. 😂

It was a sad day when it happened but it doesn't seem that long ago.
