Why are Oasis so damn good.
The questions are the answers you might need.

It's 27 years ago today since Oasis released their Roll With It single. 27 years already. I've always liked the artwork for it for some reason. I like it too. Brian Cannon just posted a interesting video about the artwork. I learned a few things i've never noticed before. Yeah, I know thanks but I haven't watched it yet. I think the TV's on the beach is quite cool.

CHAMPAGNE SHUPER NOVAHHHHH.
Fuck I love this band. The nuances.
Also, that performance is top notch, right down to the excellent video and as Liam flips off the camera in style, peak Oasis, Britpop at its ultimate best.
When Oasis click like this, it’s magic.

you ever accidentally buy the most random everyday things and realized later you gravitated towards something that has the word oasis in its name?

Haven’t watched it yet. New. I love this creator, always unique Oasis topics. Is it about the Great Reset?

If we are considering vocals to be an instrument, then Liam was the most talented instrumentalist in the band between 1994-1997. No question!
Ask 1 million people to play a guitar riff like Noel and I bet a handful of them probably could. Ask 1 billion people to sing the way Liam did, and no one is coming anywhere close.

ITS FRIDAY YER MAD FER ITTTTSSSS!!!!
‘Good evening, Town!’ What an arrogant, cocaine induced, hilarious entrance. And Liam’s later air guitar. The absolute passion. Best performance.
“This is it, then. Oasis live in Manchestah; all around the world.”

This is probably common knowledge, but I recently found out the reason there's such a gap between Oasis' show in Lille and their show in Zaragoza was because of a trucker strike. Because of the strike, Oasis couldn't get their equipment to their next shows, and they had to cancel them.
I recently saw a promo poster for November and December gigs and these are apparently the gigs that got cancelled:
11/4/1997 - Paris, The Bercy 11/6/1997 - Angers, Parc des Expositions 11/7/1997 - Bordeaux, Patinoire

The spanish gigs (Zaragoza, Madrid and Barcelona) were in danger of being cancelled for that french truckers strike... but finally the gigs went ahead but without any typical "Be Here Now Tour" stage decorations. Just a simple stage.

It is “Be Here Now” day today because it is the 25th Anniversary of Oasis’ third (and third best) album - titled “Be Here Now.” Completing the Holy Trilogy. All day celebration. Listening to the gospel.
It is also “Be Here Now” day because every day it is important to be here now; to be ever present.

How the album BHN still holds as much of a place in my heart as it ever did. Loved it then love it now. Excess and fun

If you've seen that picture of Tiger Woods next to John Daly at the 150th Open, then you know what I'm talking about when I say this:
Definitely Maybe and (What's The Story) Morning Glory? are like Tiger Woods. Be Here Now is like John Daly.

Yesterday I was in a coffee shop. While waiting for my order, I heard Stevie Wonder's Uptight (Everything's Alright) being played on the speakers in the shop. All I could think was "wow the demo of Step Out sounds great."

It's 26 years ago today since Oasis played their MTV unplugged gig. It's never been one of my favourites from the band.

I just feel Noel did an outstanding job on vocals for that performance considering all the media whirlwind, Liam walking out of rehearsals and then not doing the gig. It was the first time I’d heard him sing some of those Liam sung songs such as listen up, round are way and Hello etc. he made them his own that night. A fantastic performance under some pressure I would have thought …not helped by Liam heckling him from the balcony.

Yeah, Noel did a good job at that concert but it's just not one of my favourites and never has been. One of my favorite gigs. We got spoilt with the two brothers doing it on their own. That’s really special. Also, Noel’s Live Forever and Some Might Say are amongst the best Oasis have done. Noel’s voice was excellent on the night, so much passion… so much emotion.

Liam and Noel Gallagher front and center. Flanked by Lennon and McCartney. Mount Fab Four.

It's 22 years ago today since Oasis headlined the Reading Festival. I wonder why they never played at Reading and Leeds again as a band after that.
