My god, it's 20 years ago today since Oasis played their first night at Finsbury Park. 20 years ago already, it certainly doesn't seem 20 years.

Must've said this on here before but I genuinely find it baffling that people dislike Let there be love.
Gorgeous singing from both brothers. Wonderful melody and gently effective production. Its just such a lovely track.

On this day in 2009 Oasis played their first of three nights at Wembley Stadium.

The single D'You Know What I Mean? turned 25 years old on July 7th. Did they say anything on Twitter about it?

The single D'You Know What I Mean? turned 25 years old on July 7th. Did they say anything on Twitter about it? Wow, it doesn't seem that long ago really and it's still my favourite song off Be Here Now and my favourite single release from it too.

I received Be Here Now for Xmas ‘97. It was not only my first Oasis record, but the first album I owned from any artist. The following day I used my entire Xmas money on a portable JVC CD player. Oasis being my first love.
Be Here Now… such a fun, bloated, self indulgence, cocaine fueled bit of magic. Love this album, love this band - good memories attached. Oasis lives forever. #beherenow #wastherethen

It was 20 years ago yesterday since Oasis played at the T.In The Park Festival. I didn't realise this until I was searching for some more Oasis concerts to add to my YouTube Music list as it wasn't mentioned on Stop Crying Your Heart Out yesterday. Mind you, it was mainly about the 25th anniversary release of Be Here Now on there yesterday.

Liam's work on this album doesn't get nearly enough credit as it deserves, listen to the way it breaks during the pre-chorus... Astonishing.

The Church of Gallagher
Every Sunday, we convene at the Holy Kbebworth Park. Before launching into the NGLG Prayer, we swagger as hooligans round the Hallowed Grounds in remembrance for the 250,000. After the further Prayer of Reunion, and the following hymn of WonderWall, a MADFERIT from the community will speak on the meaning and legacy of Oasis. The gig ends with the psychedelic Psalm, Champaign Super Nova. May Oasis be with you.
I’m not soliciting the NME, so please join us at the Church of Gallagher. Thank you for putting your eternal hands in this rock n roll band. Live Forever.

I heard one of the priests has a reputation of walking off mid sermon and the other likes to make fun of disabled people.

I feel like they know we want more Be Here Now stuff than music videos and stickers and are just trolling for the fun of it. No one asked for All Around The World in HD. But whatever... There's still time...

There's still time... I wouldn't bank on that we're getting some live stuff with what's been announced so far is a pile of crap that I and many others don't want.

For the first time in years, I listened to all the Oasis albums all the way through in chronological order and now have a new order;
7. Heathen Chemistry- Ok this hasn’t changed. I expected to like it more as my disappointment has subsided but no, it’s crap and sounds awful. I like BOADC though
6. Don’t Believe The Truth- The opposite of HC as I have great memories of this coming out. It was a great summer, I was 19, just loads of fun! But the album itself is lacking. Turn Up the Sun and TIOBI are tunes though
5. Dig Out Your Soul- Oh what could have been! The first 2/3 are superb!! Truly excellent stuff; Bag It Up, The Turning, TSOTL! Also love Gem’s TBWTL. If the last third followed suit this would be a contender for being very near the top….. sadly it doesn’t
4. Be Here Now- 10 years ago this may have been 1! I do still love this album and whilst the level of criticism is completely unjustified, I do understand some of it. It is 10 mins too long and sounds terrible but my word some of the songs on here are incredible! DYKWIM?, My Big Mouth, Stand By Me, Don’t Go Away!!
3. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?- No I haven’t lost the plot. I truly love some of the songs on this album and they’re amongst the best songs ever written but I’ve never enjoyed the whole album experience as much as a lot of other people. I think it’s because I don’t rate Roll With It, Hey Now and She’s Electric and (wait for it) don’t rate Don’t Look Back in Anger that much. It’s obviously a great song but personally I never choose to listen to it and it wouldn’t make my top 30. That leaves about half an album but what a half!
2. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants- Yep, I love this album. It’s sounds ace, the lyrics are undoubtedly Noel’s best and the sounds they make, make this a truly unique Oasis experience. Fuckin in the Bushes, Go Let It Out, Gas Panic, WDIAGW? And Roll It Over are truly top tier Oasis for me. Even the so called lows aren’t that low for me; yes LAMB should be in place of PYMWYMI but I probably listen to this album the most out of any
1. Definitely Maybe- This never changes. Rock n Roll Star, Live Forever, Columbia, Supersonic, Bring It on Down, Slide Away all on the same record! Mad fer it!

You’re stranded for an eternity on a desert island, with only one of either Noel or Liam Gallagher. Which Gallagher brother do you choose, and why?

Would you believe that I got relentlessly mocked and bullied in Middle School for liking Oasis. Sad but true - my classmates just couldn’t appreciate the genius of Noel Gallagher.

You’re stranded for an eternity on a desert island, with only one of either Noel or Liam Gallagher. Which Gallagher brother do you choose, and why? Liam, definitely. It'll be dead boring with Noel (remembering his grumpy face when I met him twice). But I would choose Bonehead above Liam. He's a great lad.
