Absolutely chilling performance. Noel’s two verses are some dark poetry, personified by Liam’s grave and solemn snarl. Immense. This is exactly how you feel the morning after a weekly cocaine bender. We’ve all been there mate Watched the whole JL 2000 gig on YT recently when drunk. Was in awe tbh. |

I've met Noel twice, Liam once, Bonehead once, Gem twice and Andy twice.
From all of them, the nicest were Bonehead and Liam. Never thought Liam would be so calm and gentle.
Bonehead came like We've known each other for years. What a down to earth guy.

I was thinking that the intro of TSOTL would make a nice theme for a TV series, but then I listened to it again and realized that it would be sorely lacking in the energy needed for such a role. A real shame that so much of Oasis's 00s output sounds like it's running through jello. TSOTL only sounds more alive to us because the rest of Oasis's 00s work sounds so dead, regardless of how much you enjoy the songs. And it's so damn clean! It should be a riot! Like it's about to break at the seams! Instead, it's just a nice song, and not much else.

Certainly better than Probably All In My Mind, Better Man and Quick Peep. I actually like Quick Peep. Wish we got the 5+ min version they said they broke it down from. Could have been a good end to side 1 or opening to side B. Maybe for the eventual anthology which in my mind is fantastic but will ultimately be let down when it’s released. |

I think of A Quick Peep as an interlude, nothing more or less. So I don't mind it really, as an interlude it works fine for me. But nevermind, I even have a soft spot for She Is Love and (Probably) All In The Mind  . Like a lot of Oasis albums.... this could have been so much better: if only - Liams voice was top notch - good production and variety in arrangements or instruments - different song choices Just came across this the other day. There are some tunes underneath the dreadful production. |
