They’ve done some damn good covers in their time but this one and this performance itself is so powerful - Oasis were a true force at that moment. I’m so glad this band got all the success that they worked so fucking hard for.

Stumbled on this. Doesn’t deserve its own thread as it’s not funny, sorry to whoever created this. But for those who desire to see all things Oasis, here’s your next item.

This video is rather scathing towards BHN, but it has some valid points.
D'You Know What I Mean? is good in its guitar and strings work, and works in the context of the hype of the band, but it sucks as a lead single for how long it is and when Don't Go Away was waiting in the wings as the obvious lead single choice.
My Big Mouth works well as track two, but Magic Pie is dreadful and goes nowhere, even if it may have some cool sounding chords in the chorus. Stand By Me is good but way, way too long and repetitious. Much like the rest of the album, it's too overblown for its own good and is just a hard pill to swallow when you see what's preceded it. The comments on All Around the World are a little harsh, but I think that the strings and horns sections should've been louder and Liam's vocals should've been limited to just the main lyrics until the end for the "Na na na"s to happen.
It's an album with very good songs and a couple mediocre ones (Magic Pie; Fade In-Out teeters on it) but just horrible handling of it all, and the video above brings up some decent points regarding this.

Wow, that's awesome! Translators are very important to society, so kudos to you! Oh man, I have no idea what 一人もいいものさ might be. The first thing that comes to mind is "I don't mind being on my own". A little hint? Thanks. "I don't mind being on my own", well done! Actually it should be ”自由の身でいるのはいいもんだ”. This won't be difficult. (It is indeed good) to be free

Found this interview on a cassette I'd recorded off the Radio of Noel when Hindu Times hit the UK #1. Just uploaded to Youtube this afternoon. Interesting to hear the talk about the HC download leak at the time

Stop Crying Your Heart Out is a genuinely beautiful song and Liam's vocals are icing on the cake for it. The string arrangement and guitar flourishes are top notch as well.

Liam miming the Noel parts of Live Forever in the US video is simply a scandal.

Listened to Knebworth today for the first time in about 20 years. It's so rough! Noel screaming his backing vocals, Liam with his ridiculous Lennon-isms, Supersonic is about five times too fast, Morning Glory gets faster and faster as it goes on! Noel's guitar is creepingly becoming ridiculous - particularly over the top on the second verse of Supersonic (the seeds of the BHN tour guitar histrionics)!
No wonder they didn't release it as a live album!

Someone told me today that Oasis are the British rock version of Nickelback. It's kind of ruined my day.

It still blows my mind how something as good as Come On Outside didn't make it onto DOYS. Liam vocals or not, it pisses all over nearly 3/4 of what Oasis released in the 00s.
