I just met a girl who has direct and close links to the lawyer who represented Liza Ghorbani in the child-support case against Liam Gallagher in 2014. I want to respect confidentiality so I'll just leave it at that. Wow. what did she say?

I cannot remember the last time I listened to anything from Don't Believe The Truth or Dig Out Your Soul. It's been that long, I can barely remember The Importance of Being Idle

I mean, I know I do like Turn Up The Sun, Lyla and Guess God Thinks I'm Able (or is it Abel? Always get it confused but anyway)...other than that...

The Turning, Bag it Up and TSOTL are really good! You should definitely give another listen to DOYS Also Eyeball Tickler (not from DBTT but a bside from that era) and I always had a soft spot for Mucky Fingers.

Whitey's devolution from pitch-perfect drumming on (What's the Story) Morning Glory? to tinny cymbal-smashing on Be Here Now is the biggest drop-off in performance by an Oasis member between two albums.

This is due to the change in recording/songwriting/album style, right? Be Here Now is a vastly different album to Morning Glory and could not possibly be played the same way. His drumming on Fade In/Out is phenomenal, especially live. I think his drumming is more hidden in the mix than Morning Glory for sure.

To some degree, sure, and I like him on Fade In/Out and D'You Know What I Mean? just fine, but to my ear he threatens to ruin songs like The Girl in the Dirty Shirt with the incessant ugly cymbals.

The mixing and compression also don't help. The master is already tinny enough with the blaring guitars and minimal bass that once you add in the cymbals, it's just fatiguing to the ears. His drumming on The Girl in the Dirty Shirt does weigh the song down a bit. I like it, but it seems to plod at times, especially in the transition from the second verse to the pre-chorus after that. It just needs to shuffle a little more and seem a little more fast-paced, like how Don't Look Back in Anger is, but it doesn't. He does a similar drum pattern on Don't Go Away but it fits that song more since DGA has more of a reflective and melancholic tone to itself while TGITDS should be more lively and party-like. On a similar note, I like his drumming on It's Getting Better (Man!!) and Be Here Now. Alan really moves the song along nicely on It's Getting Better (Man!!) and fits perfectly into the equation with Be Here Now, same with on My Big Mouth. I wish some of the songs on BHN were more like My Big Mouth and how faster paced it is and truly world-beating it feels.

Live Forever is my favorite Oasis song. I can't explain how amazing it is to sing at the top of your lungs when you're feeling down. Liam's vocals match the strong message throughout the song and it makes me feel untouchable, whereas Noel's guitar solo is hauntingly beautiful and evokes strong feelings of comfort and nostalgia in me. Well said
