Randomly heard the album cut of Wonderwall today on the radio... I defy anyone who says the song is crap. It's great. Albeit over exposed. my problem with it now is Liams vocals, they arnt bad but he just sounds bored, he nailed it during 2000/2001 imo, he seemed to enjoy singing it more around that time imo. plus I prefer the electric arrangement more

See the Sun should have been a single... I prefer it to some off the stuff on DM. Fuckin' blindin'! "Father time just keep on ticking Until I get my sweet release" "been to the slaughter... slept with your daughter... so won't you let me have my head? and then I can See the Sun!" What a bloody tune! YOU MISSED THE MOON ON MONDAY MORNING.

The album version of "The Hindu Times" randomly came on my iPhone today. I give this song a lot of flack because I love the demo so much but it actually isn't that bad. A solid rocker. It's way too hated on here.

^ Reminds me of when I first downloaded the demo tape tracks and just sat in my room playing them on repeat drinking an 8 pack of carlsberg until about 2 in the morning... I had this and Colour my Life in my head for ages. When I first heard Take Me, I had it on loop for ages! So catchy.

Have to admit that lyric always randomly reminds me of Iron Maiden's 1990 hit 'Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter' I wonder if that was the inspiration... right era anyway, totally different genre of course That line made me think of this. Slaughter / Daughter ref at 1:10 0

"Sonically, 'Listen Up' offers another textbook example of the shoegaze/grunge synthesis. The song begins with the (by-now classic) McCarroll hip-hop drum intro before plunging into a swirl of power chords and phaser-smothered guitar overdubs. There is a desperate, bleak quality to the whole of 'Listen Up', which has the feel of a garage band struggling - and succeeding - to create a sound of panoramic grandeur and soul. But the most striking moment in the song occurs in the bridge section where, over a descending chord sequence, Liam Gallagher howls a sudden, stabbing lyrical fragment that imagines a day when he can leave everyone behind once and for all." (From Alex Niven's book on Definitely Maybe)

Today, as I posted my one thousand three hundred and seventy second post on the live4ever forum inside six months I thought "Hey, maybe I should try dating?" Then I looked in the mirror whilst listening to The Masterplan compilation and thought "There's a point I want to answer in the WTSMG or BHN Thread" and promptly forgot about building a family life again I'M going to steal this too for a Facebook post - obviously using a much higher number doe

Yeah it's like all those demo tracks are hidden treasures for the real fans only but worth the effort (of course since then some were released with the DM remaster).

Such a pleasant shock.

The Sotsog tour gets a lot of flack, especially over that album's songs being performed. I decided to give the SOTSOG songs a run through on the electric and found a lot of them worked really well.
Fitb - I can do it pretty well as 1 person and it sounds really good. Shame they never really tried it live. GLIO - love to play this one, especially the outro, as well as WFL which is terrific even with 1 person on guitar. Roll It Over sounds perfect apart from the fact that I can do the solo. Sane with gas panic. Full On was fun.
PYMWYMI and ICSAL were actually pretty fun to play. Make Brlieve and One Way Road too, with a softer electric effect.
The only ones that really didn't work we're WDIAGW and SMC but we've seen how well those worked with an acoustic set up like the Jools and MTV Europe performances.
I had always avoided playing SOTSOG songs electric, assuming they wouldn't work well. Glad to see I was wrong.

Randomly heard the album cut of Wonderwall today on the radio... I defy anyone who says the song is crap. It's great. Albeit over exposed. Everything about it is fucking brilliant. That strumming pattern, which is surely now one of the most recognisable strumming patterns ever conceived; Whitey's drumming; the guitar bit over the bridge; the (fake) cello line; and, of course, Liam's one of a kind foghorn delivery, thankfully, for once, shoved right at the forefront of the mix. It's an almost perfect pop song. And it's not even in my top three tunes on (What's the Story) Morning Glory?! Crazy!

I feel in love with caro at the Oasis show. She said: "WHAT?" And I told her that I didn't know!

Listen Up is awesome. It's one of those songs that gives you the same great feeling, with each listen, as when the brilliance of the song first occurred in your mind. It's slowly crept into my top 10, but I think it has a solid spot in it after a good listening session on Sunday. The loud production really works on this song, and the way it's such a hazy mess makes everything a lot better with how you can get lost in those sweet-sounding guitars that swirl throughout the whole song.

Not sure why they changed the oasis logo The Masterplan one was cool I also liked the silver one on DYKWIM Changing the logo was the catalyst. It all went downhill from there.
