Because of this song I'm excited for the Heathen Chemistry reissue. I hope Noel will remix the whole album steady on!! they haven't even done be here now that they said would I hope they don't reissue BHN cos it would just make it any other album then. It may be good but they can only do so much to an album like HC the songs will still let it down.

We've been waiting almost 3 years for the Be Here Now reissue. I fear that was silently scrapped. By that logic, Heathen Chemistry has zero shot in hell to ever materialize if Be Here Now got dumped.

That doesn't mean he will reissue HC. Would be a tad stupid. "Hey I'm randomly going to reissue our below average 5th album, but I'm completely going to ignore our successful 3rd one that sold 8 million copies, wahey!"

I never said that they won't reissue Be Here Now, I think they will release it in 2017. After the documentary and Knebworth. I'm pretty sure they will reissue the 4 latter albums too.

I hate it tbh. It started a long list of Liam's Lennon impersonations that were present in all later Oasis albums and were by far the worst things in the (otherwise fine) Liam solo albums The only good thing that came from this vein was I'm outta time that is good enough to make you forget the Lennon bore

For me BOADC is one of the most beautiful songs of Oasis. I consider it a masterpiece. It deserves more visibility. Congratulations to Liam for writing it.

Great song. But it needs a remastering, just like HC as a whole.
Liam could have become a really great songwriter. But he chose to sing Cigs and Alcohol again for the millionth time.

I put BOADC in the same category as FADE IN/OUT. Solid album tracks massively elevated to greatness when performed live

Great song. But it needs a remastering, just like HC as a whole. OK, this is a very very long time ago (well 22 years ago) and I cannot find any traces of it anywhere but I remember reading an interview with (probably) Noel in 2002 where he said that the vocals for BOADC were taken from the demo and Noel said he told Liam that he "meant it" more on the demo or something along those lines. Does anyone else remember this or should I start questionning my sanity?

I dug that thread you did a few years ago apparently not obvious obvious, but they didnt change much from the original recording. forum.live4ever.uk.com/thread/85245/different-cloud-vocals-album-versionIt's really a great song, top 5 Liam. I clearly remember them saying it was 3 bits of songs put together though. They said that 100% sure, in 2002 interviews. The more you listen to HC especially now with high quality gears we have, the more you realize its just a collage of songs from different sessions, and that it does not make much sense as an album. So probably a lot are from demos reworked a bit (FON, LBL, Better Man, BOADC,) and the main session (Songbird, THT, SCYHO, She is Love)

Does anyone else remember this or should I start questionning my sanity? There was a radio show (I think BBC Radio 1) about the album before release, I think it would have been a few days before the album came out. They played a few songs from it and Noel said that Born on a Different Cloud and Better Man both had the vocals taken from the demos – that while Liam might not have been perfectly in tune all through them, the demo vocals had something that the later attempts lacked.

Nice forum forensics! Yeah it's one of my favourite Liam songs and I still don't understand why come hate it around here. It's a bit of a guess (I'm casting my mind back 22 years to listening to it on the radio), but looking up BBC interviews from that time I think the 25 June 2002 one makes sense. Not sure if there are any recordings of it floating around. www.oasis-live.net/shows/2002/2002-06-25
