I've ben using the live version for the last hour or so and I like it a lot. Arch is a good base to build upon, especially with the Pacman package manager. I prefer how it looks to Elementary as well.

or just install pantheon-shell in Arch Linux For experienced users, that's a pretty good way to go about it not for people who are new to Linux, installing Arch on its own can be a real headache. I think this is aimed at users who want a familiar looking desktop environment, which is also simple to install.

I still prefer elementary os to apricity. I played with this OS on virtual box at work this last week.

I've installed this on an old MacBook and it seems to work with the hardware pretty well. The only problem I've encountered is trying to get the Wifi driver installed/enabled.
