You have cultural relevance when you are part of the zeitgeist, Which the 2017 Liam Gallagher is. Very much so. Noel isn’t, he’s a peripheral player. I understand my opinions aren’t going to be popular on this forum of all places. But I also think a lot on here are in a position of adulation with Noel that would lead them to struggle to be objective at a time of heightened excitement. Hang on, are you having a pop at someone for giving their opinion on an album you haven't even listened to? Laughable

Don't know if this has already been said, but I'm in Australia and just got an email from my preorder seller saying the release has been pushed back to December 1st, seems a bit odd (and annoying) to change it 2 days before it was supposed to release

Saying As You Were is culturally relevant or part of the zeitgeist is just plain funny. I said 2017 Liam Gallagher is culturally relevant. And he is. At least here in the UK. And that AYW is part of that relevance. And I’m completely correct to point that out. Playing a starring role at Glastonbury, smashing Reading, wrapping One Love Up, a number one album, sell-out stadium tour, Finsbury, captivating a new generation. There’s little more he could do to illustrate his relevance. You may not like it but thems the breaks. Noel May turn the tables with album 4. Who knows. Also, gifs. No offence but I think it’s a cheap form of response. Just trying to give you a nod in the right direction. Discussion is better.

Noel Gallagher could open Glastonbury, sell out Finsbury Park, etc, if he wanted to. He'll probably do that and more next year. I'm also sure the UK youth will appreciate his new album just as much as AYW. AYW's success is no different compared to Noel's first two albums.

At least here in the UK. Are you sure you don't mean 1997? He wasn't even "culturally relevant" anymore in 2007, never mind 2017. Probably not since about 1998 in all honesty. Popular culture moved on pretty quick from the whole Britpop era. It died quicker than it happened and Oasis went with it in terms of influencing culture. They remained famous, sold records and big concerts but that was down to a large loyal fanbase and people attending gigs for a good night out. By the time SOTSOG was released, the times had changed. Oasis were no longer "cool" anymore. Not that it means anything to be "cool" but you know what i mean. I think some Oasis fans have a difficult time accepting this. Y'know how when you're a kid and some parents listen to some bands and the kids think it's embarrassing and not cool. Well that's how young people view Oasis when their parents in their 40's listen to them while re-living their 20's. Liam and Noel are about as relevant in popular culture in 2017 as Rod Stewart was to popular culture 1997. Let that one sink in.

House of Blues Belsonic Manchester Cricket Club You’re aware I was talking about the UK? As for Old Trafford, it’s capacity is huge and it’s a show that runs on from already phenomenal ticket sales. Sold out nights aplenty. Noel, on the other hand, has struggled to sell out shows for a standard arena tour. His standing has slipped. It happens.

Ive followed this forum all day since ng's new album release, but this is my first post. Anyway still wondering when he'll release 'Dont't Stop' as a single at some point... Hes already recorded it actually for the first album but havent released it yet.. Heres his interview about it: genius.com/Noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds-noel-gallagher-reddit-ama-lyricsNG: ''I pretty much just answered that question about 20 minutes ago. It's a song called "Don't Stop..." I've already recorded it. It didn't make it onto "Chasing Yesterday" because it sounded a bit too much like what was already on the first High Flying Birds album'' NG: "1.) That song is called "Don't stop..." I've already recorded it. The reason it didn't make it onto "Chasing Yesterday" was because it didn't fit the vibe of the album. Needless to say, when I finally get 'round to releasing it, I think it will be one of my best ever releases. The sound of it is more akin to the first album, and I felt like "Chasing Yesterday" had moved on a little bit. But it's a great song, and I love it, and when I finally release it, you're going to love it (fans, that is)

Hopefully it's in the next one or he puts it on a single as a b-side. If there's any.
