I forgot Shoot A Hole Into The Sun and Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me even existed... I love Let the Lord. It stands for sure in my top 10 list of NGHFB tracks.

I listen to Let the lord shine a light on me once in every 6 months or so. It's not bad, but it's a bit boring and I also constantly forget it exists.

I didn't care for it that much either until I heard the band do it live. With Noel on electric or acoustic it works well in a live setting. The studio version always makes me think of SOTSOG in its production.

I remember once I had a dream years ago where Noel opened up a HFB gig with I'd Pick You Everytime because people were complaining about Good to Be Free.

Never understood the hate for The Good Rebel....the verses are catchy enough. Hardly the criminalized song of the century, ffs.

The Mexican is the worst album track by far, but I picked The Good Rebel, as my overall worst. Third choice was Do the Damage.

Its nice enough and a good b-side but I definitely think its my least favourite from the first bunch of songs, I prefer the good rebel!

I forgot Shoot A Hole Into The Sun and Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me even existed... I love Let the Lord. It stands for sure in my top 10 list of NGHFB tracks. The verses are absolutely brillant, up there with the best HFB tracks. No real chorus though, although the middle bit is pretty cool. Amazing for a b-side, could have been on any album for sure. Worst track - Shoot a Hole In The Sun. Might be easy, but it's essentially a remix that adds zero to the original song. After that it's between Here's A Candle and Leave My Guitar Alone.

The Good Rebel just screams Heathen Chemistry. The Good Rebel would be the best track on Heathen Chemistry had it been included on the album. Unless they screwed up the production/arrangement big time.

Unless they screwed up the production/arrangement big time. I wouldn't say the best track on Heathen Chemistry, but it would've been a nice addition to the album, same with Thank You for the Good Times and Shout it Out Loud. All three are tenfold better than Probably All in the Mind, She is Love, and Better Man, which are some of the worst produced (and worst in general) songs Oasis has ever did.

The Good Rebel just screams Heathen Chemistry. IIRC The Good Rebel was written during the HC sessions and possibly even demoed or recorded!

How people can vote for 'The Death of You and Me' or 'If I Had a Gun...' is beyond me

I have no complaints about the album version, but sometimes, She Taught Me To Fly sounds absolutely dreadful live. Noel's vocals are lethal. And not in a good way.
