When, and more importantly why, was the 4-2-3-1 formation universally adopted in the league? I strongly believe this is where Wenger gone wrong. What would happen if Arsenal reverted to a 4-4-2 again? mattDon't think it would make a difference - 4-4-2 is out of date and easy to combat. Too many holes in midfield and it would be difficult to accommodate their best players, whereas 4-2-3-1 keeps everything compact these days. If Arsenal finish 4th and, say, Liverpool win Europa League or United make it to the top four in place of Arsenal (could still happen) I'm not sure where Wenger goes from there. Like I said, he should only go if there is a certified replacement better than him available. I have no idea who'd be able to take over. In fairness, third is strongly in our hands.

Look, I get it, this season has been terrible. And we continue to falter the same way every season for the past decade. It isn't good enough. I do think we have the squad - and they were most certainly capable for winning the league - but they simply under-performed (for whatever reason. And that reason needs to be figure out and sorted). But I find the protests absolutely pathetic. This is a time when the team needs support - that's what fans are there to do: SUPPORTER - the clue is in the name for fuck's sake. Hurling abuse at Wenger is bang out of order. For a manager that has given us so much. I'm glad to hear by ALL accounts that the protests were a lackluster affair, and that Wenger actually did get more support. Richard Nixon talked about the silent majority. I think that concept is applicable here. Let's give AW the summer to sort things out and comeback with real intent next season and prove every doubter wrong. matt

Hoping that Leicester clinches the title at Old Trafford tomorrow, leading former Chelsea manager, Claudio Ranieri, to lift the Premier League trophy at Stamford Bridge when they take on Chelsea on the last day of the season. It couldn't be more fitting, perfect, or iconic. #karma
What a story! What an absolute fairy tale! Unbelievable.

Unbelievable. i thought they recieved the silverware as soon as they won it? pretty sure the trophy will be there at old trafford, just in case they win. and agree on wenger. i think people take for granted that hes kept them steady for so long. ok, he hasnt won in a while, but look at liverpool for example. they been trying for decades to win the league again and are historically a far bigger club than arsenal (or arguably anyone). they been through many transitions with many managers and its been a bumpy ride. in all that time theyve only made one real run at the title, and failed to finish top 4 on multiple occasions. and now its united. i think theyll bounce back quicker than the scousers, but look at what theyve been through since the departure. and lets be honest, they still dont look any good. people seem to think if they get rid of arsene the new dudes gonna come in and win quick, but they forget he'll be held to the same restrictions that wenger is held to by the board. i actually think theres no one else that could compete like he does with the limitations hes given.

I hate that so many taditions have been changed. Fuck the FA.

Do you think LVG will stay at ManU? I think he will. And I think that ManU will win the league next year.

Considering realistic candidates like Klopp has gone, Guardiola is gone, while ones being mentioned who are available aren't necessarily a grade up from Wenger. It's more of a gamble picking managers these days, with unlikely folk going well under the radar - only last year Ranieri lost his second match to the Faroes in charge of Greece.

Claudio Ranieri was the first manager Chelsea's Roman Abramovich sacked in 2004. Now 12 years later, Ranieri is about to win the Premier League with Leicester, dethroning Chelsea - the defending champions - in the process. Simply unbelievable. #karma Could still be spurs winning the title. Not if Chelsea beat them

exactly! Leicester have only lost once is 18 matches and now they need to lose 3 in row (and spurs to win 3 in row) not to win the league.. Think it may happen
