Anyone watching this year? Haven't really been following the cycling the last 2 years since the World Cup got in the way but normally love this event. The first of 21 stages starts on Saturday with the Individual Time Trials in Utrecht.
Team Sky are looking strong and Froome will probably get it back for them after they lost their run of it last year. Hoping Quintana or Joaquin Rodriguez win it myself.

Yep! I plan on getting up early on Fourth of July morning, taking my bike out for a ride, and then coming back to watch the Tour kickoff live on TV. As for the other days, I'm not so sure, but thankfully, NBCSN has a re-air of the day's stage that comes on at 8 PM EST, so I will definitely be relying on that.

I think I'd kill it if I were in the race. I go hard, like at least 10 miles a day, sometimes 20, don't even breathe hard.
Hell, I'm riding right now and posting!
God bless.

My better half is following the Tour every year and this year is very special cos it stars in Utrecht. I'm looking forward to watch it on Saturday. It won't easy start as it's from The Dom and all those narrow streets etc.

This is set to be an epic 4 way battle between Froome, Contador, Quintana & Nibali.

Who remembers Abdoujaparov's crash on the Champs Elysees?

This is a really good ESPN 30 for 30 on Greg Lemond and the Tour de France... Greg Lemond's the only American to win the Tour de France since Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis were stripped of their wins. ----- Some of the stages of the race are insane....the hills the riders climb are unbelievable. God bless.

Such a shame that Tony Martin is out.

Such a shame that Tony Martin is out. Always liked him. Look like this is Froome's to lose now. Only catching bits and pieces as dont have the stations during the live coverage

It's fun watching the commentators squirm their way around mentioning anything "Armstrong". They start their sentences comparing certain actions from past great stages and realize it's referencing Lance .... it's tough erasing such a dominant sports figure (doped or not) from your vocabulary.

Didn't see it today but Froome smashed it! Only a week in and is it over already!?
