Too poor a recording to tell, but it will be great. Everything they did was great. Babyshambles had a lot of great stuff, Doherty is a poet when it comes to lyrics.

Easily the best recording of Gunga Gin yet:
It's really growing on me, but the slow verses are an odd choice for a comeback single, especially after all these years

Good things to come I reckon Yeah it's a classic libs chorus, very exciting stuff. Really don't know what to expect from the record, which is exciting

Does anyone have or know where I can find decent versions if the Glastonbury performances of 'You're My Waterloo' or 'Anthem for Doomed Youth'?
Those will nth be on the album, starting to get a picture of how it will sound

Really interesting to hear with the new songs, lyrics and vocals, what both pete and Carl thought the libertines sounded like. Pete thought their songs were effete and archaic (case in point: 'life could be so gay') and Carl thought their songs were aggressive and sweary (he's even doing his new manly voice) I always thought they fell somewhere in between.
New songs sound like Carl's recent solo work to me. Which I'm a fan of. Gunga Gin could have been on his last record with the Jackals and Anthem for Doomed youth (written by Peter) could have been on his underrated death fires burn at night ep (seriously, listen to it)

The new songs sound promising, the fact I have to wait for this album is starting to annoy me. Buzzin'.

Grabbed the audio of the three new tracks and popped them here: www.sendspace.com/file/qkg5ywSoundboard quality live recordings of: - Gunga Gin - You're My Waterloo - Anthem For Doomed Youth From Glastonbury 2015. (Crowd noise between songs included as separate tracks. For those who like live recordings to flow, keep 'em. For those that just want the tunes, don't!) TWB.

Anthem for Doomed Youth sounds brillant, Gunga Gin has murky verses but the chorus is great. My hopes remain high for the album.

I only got there for Music When the Lights Go Out onwards but I thought they were really boring at Glastonbury. The last few songs were alright but everything up to that point just seemed quite slow and boring. The crowd as a whole didn't seem too interested in it.

Pre-orders are now open, they are using pledge music so that fans can get all sorts of goodies/updates on the band when purchasing, The View have done a similar thing, using PledgeMusic even when its not necessary (financially I mean)

Think it was luck of the draw where you ended up, think half the crowd showed up expecting Bastille, crowd around us were die hards so it was party central, was absolutely buzzing. Loved it. Couple of people behind us who were adamant it was going to be Oasis, did make me laugh

I was at the Courteeners and by the time I got round we ended up quite far out on the right hand side just waiting on a good spot for Florence and around there no one was that bothered about them.

Ha yea heard just after Charlatans about "Albion" and knew it was them, cheered me up no end after how flat that was aswell! Did love the anticipation though. I guess on the flipside if they would have announced it they would have got a more relevant crowd, know a few who missed it for The Courteeners who didn't believe it would be them, shame. Brilliant festival this year though

Brilliant festival this year though I think it was in between The Charlatans and The Cribs I found out too. I'm not that fussed about them anymore so only went for the second half as we were seeing Florence. Yeah I think the Courteeners thing worked both ways as their crowd was definitely smaller at the end than the start of their set. Liam Fray said on stage that he expected the field to be empty by that point too. Completely agree with your last point, was only my 2nd year going but my best one, everything just seemed great this year.

Glad you had a great one, was my 5th this year, first year it all seemed to come together, the atmosphere just felt perfect and everything clicked into place. Had to tip my hat to Florence as well, never been a fan, went back to gather supplies for Shangri after the libs and ended up walking across the top of the pyramid field just as she kicked into Times Like these, that view, that moment, seriously knocked me for six, ended up watching quite a bit of the set before having probably the best night i've ever had out in my life! Glasto blues are still going strong haha....
