This is dedicated to the Gallagher brothers Life is very short, and there's no time For fussing and fighting, my friend I have always thought that it's a crime So, I will ask you once again Try to see it my way Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong While you see it your way There's a chance that we might fall apart before too long We can work it out We can work it out

Personally I take no notice of what Noel says nowadays anyway..I lost respect for him ages ago to be honest What reason? I've gone off NG slightly because of the way he name drops his mates all the time. Bono this, Weller that, etc. and I get the impression he is becoming more London luvvie pretentious as he gets older, but that's about it. I still love his music in general though, more than Liam's new album, which I thought was better than Beady Eye, but on repeat listens I find it drags a bit. There are too many slow numbers on there for me. What does Liam's record have to do with what you were talking about or quoting? Its amazing how many people cant discuss a topic about either brother without adding a small (usually negative) appraisal of an album or song at the bottom "Did you see you see the new star wars trailer the other day?" "Yeah, looks good doesn't it, Liam's album/Noels single is total shite mind you"

I'm as guilty as everyone else on here for doing that, I know.

Jesus, an another Sara/Debbie speculations. PS: Before anyone jump on me again like "a certain moderator discourage a debate on this forum", I've never discourage any debates on here. I just think it's boring and tiring that people keep giving a blame to Noel's/Liam's (ex) wife and girlfriend. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen you mention 'someone' jumping on you and I may be wrong but it kind of feels like your referring to me when I commented on people using the 'we all used to love oasis so we must have loved both gallagher brothers once, and it's stupid to have chosen one now they've split' argumemt. Firstly it wasn't a personal dig at you so I'm sorry if you took it that way. Your not the only person I've seen use it and it had been bothering me for a while because I felt it simply wasn't true. I understand why as a moderator you would try to stop and argument developing but my feeling about it was that it was a false narrative, oasis was a many headed beast and it was perfectly natural that many members on here were drawn to the band by once particular aspect that one or the other of the brothers brought and therefore would be naturally inclined to favour one over the other ad a solo artist and it wasn't because they were stupid or imature and had been sucked in by the petty fighting, which is what using that argument implies. It's perfectly fine to have loved both too, all views should be equally valid. You are right to try and stop improper behaviour on here, that is your job, but I just felt that it's the behaviour of certain posters not their approach to being a fan of oasis that is the issue here. Any one should feel free to like Liam or Noel more if that's how they feel and express that view on here without being attacked and told to fuck off and support a different band because they don't conform to what some members of here rather condescendingly consider to be a superior type of fan. That's the type of childish behaviour that makes this place unpleasant not the fan who sometimes expresses a preference for one over the other. As long as people are friendly and don't act aggressively to other members then all views should be accepted, is all I was trying to say by describing how my own feelings on the subject were shaped by supporting oasis in the 90s not because I was caught up in the bickering of recent times. Here's another non oasis example to illustrate my point, when I was a kid I loved the A team, I loved Murdoch the best, thought Face was a bit of a smug wanker. I was still a fan of the program though and watched it every week. You don't have to love everything about something to call yourself a fan.

I complained to Liam about that and he agreed. But Paul wasn't too sure what to think. Andy looked at his shoes while Gem played his best song, the quiet ones. Quite a good evening.

That doesn't even really make sense. If the songwriting is all your interested in then the songs are still written by somebody so you could still learn something even if you dont respect the singer for not writing the songs. And thats what hes really saying of course. Seems so keen to insult his brother he's forgot to check his argument for any logic first.

Noel’s always has a tendency to brag about wealth (that damn limo he couldn’t drive thatbwe heard about 8000x) - very nouveau riche, and a reminder that if he was hip hop he’d wear thick chains and brag on his diamonds. The big PR mistakes often center around him thinking it’s impressive to us. Missing One Manchester was bad but then showing up on pics lounging on a Yatch were worse. Someone pitches stories to the papers every time he hangs with his “famous pals” - I’m generally not into slamming partners but I find it more than odd all the stories start off talking about “gorgeous bikini bodies” (and not Noel’s). I’ve long tired of the name dropping and I think it’s a massive mistake. And there really wouldn’t be a “pr” team at this stage of his career and sales on his own independent label. He owns these missteps.

Not forgetting Liam wrote 8 of the 15 songs by himself, and co-wrote 5 of the others.

I find it amusing that the guy whose most used expressions are along the lines of "we are the greatest band in the world" and "I'm a genius" and wrote the lyric "an extraordinary guy can never have an ordinary day" are now getting bothered by the fact that he's using this eagle/pigeon analogy. Is it seriously ANY different than what we have come to expect from Noel and is it seriously on par with the endless invective that Liam hurls his way on an almost weekly basis?
