Not really a creepy one but Guigsy rarely looked comfortable being photographed  This was promotional photo in 1997 for a book he co-authored with Paolo Hewitt on cult legend footballer Robin Friday, who was as famous for his rock n' roll life style as for his mercurial skills for Reading FC and Cardiff City FC. Although brilliantly gifted Friday's lifestyle and temperament put the top flight clubs of the 1970's off from signing him, and his lifestyle unfortunately led to his early death on Dec 22nd 1990 aged 38.   |

Must admit, am curious by it Yes I actually have it  It provides a good account of Robin Friday but it isn't a traditional biography really, aside from interconnecting passages written by the authors to each section and headers for sub sections it mainly relies on interviews fully reprinted from Robin's parents and twin brother, other family members, his former managers and team mates in an almost 'In conversation with' style, and archive reports mainly from local Reading newspapers. A good read but nothing along the class of say   |
