Don't see the point in this - surely an experienced or well qualified young assistant would be much preferable number two for a first time manager in the SPL? Don't think he's officially assistant manager, just a coach.
Even if he won't have the same influence as a player he's a winner who hopefully will knock some sense and desire into our team of softies/shitebags/losers.

FAF - get it right up ya Robbie! 🤣 Bullet well and truly dodged there with him leaving last year. They gave us 200K for him.

Pretty fascinating - they're in a network of smaller European clubs and trading methods on youth coaching philosophy. They already give plenty of young players a chance but will be interesting to see how it reaps rewards with even more quality players coming through in a few years. A interesting model, great to see local lads being given a chance and being given a proper football education too (something sorely lacking in the Scottish game). Can only be good for the Scottish game.

Can only be good for the Scottish game. Our youth scheme has went through quite a lot of different iterations over the last 20 years or so. The success seems to me cyclical. Last group of really goood players came through a decade ago under Ian Cathro and Levein - Gauld, the Souttar brothers, Armstrong, Russell, Goodwillie. Been a bit sparse since then but since the American owners came in everything had been restructured again and seems to startling to bear some fruit, we’ll see. A lot of our fans have concerns over how many staff we now seem to have - coaches, analysts etc- the main theme of criticism being- what do these guys all actually do? But I guess we’ll see if the players start coming through.

No Gauld in the Scotland squad.
Old habits die hard, Scotland national team loves a bit of luddites like Steve Clarke.

You'd think football doesn't exist outside the UK, same as its always been for so many of these managers.

What a monumental fuck up that is from Kilmarnock. Just think where they were a few years ago - unimaginable to think back then that their stay in the top flight would soon be over. 28 years and gone.
Tommy Wright showing himself to be the most overrated manager in Scotland for a good number of years. Callum Davidson showing that he probably held St Johnstone back if anything.

Exactly the teams I wanted relegated and promoted at the start of the season, lovely stuff.
2 shitey plastic pitches down, 1 to go.

The clubs now have the 11-1 voting terms required to rid the league of ever allowing them again in the top division. I can understand the need for extra revenue but Livi have one at their stadium for that exact reason and throw in the fact there was 2 or 3 postponements on an “all weather” pitch! Get shot!

Think one of the 'selling points' was that better football could be played on these pitches. But seeing the two teams who use it couldn't be further from this to be honest.

Aye get these artificial pitches to fuck. Fine for training and playing bounce games but we really should not have them in our top flight.

Twa-each draw with the clog dancers - I didn't watch the game but sounds like it was a decent performance.

How’s about that then?! Didn't see that coming in a million years, United were pathetic against us last week. Manage to get to the game globe? They totally were last week, looked a different side today though. Thought Aberdeen look reinvigorated with the managerial change, and thought Utd would do likewise so expected it to be a tight one. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is the story of Utd’s season. Some cracking young players will give them good results but giving it to a rookie coach is not going to pull up any trees I think. A team that can go places though, similar to Aberdeen.

Aye, managed to get a seat almost right next to my season ticket seat too so that was a bonus! Thought we’d get bumped today after last week but we deserved the win, every player in tangerine gave their all. Think it made a big difference playing a back 4 with Edwards and Mulgrew, the three at the back last week at your place was a disaster,
