It's international weekend! Without sounding patronising, we should be looking to really give our goal difference a boost against Gibraltar. We struggled to break down Norn Ireland midweek but Anya looked very lively so hopefully he can play a big part on Sunday.
Before that there's some league business to attend to. Every game in the Championship holds significance for one reason or another, with Rangers looking to try and overtake Hibs, Falkirk hoping to get into 4th place ahead of Queens and the relegation battle at the Recs.

Should be some changes to the team from midweek. Whittikar should be out as he is pish, Hutton can at least take a man on and tackle too. Personally I'd start with Jordan Rhodes over Steven Fletcher, can't believe he gets picked, no assist or goals in something like 5 or 6 years and only 7 league goals in 2 seasons at Sunderland... Gash is the word that comes to mind! Hoping Rangers can kick on from last week beating Hibs but you just never know what your going to get at Ibrox right now.

Centre forward is one position we're struggling in. Everyone was crying out for Fletcher to be back in the squad, but absolutely anything was an improvement over the shite that Levein was offering up. He hasn't really performed but neither has Rhodes or Martin. Naismith is a fantastic worker but not an out and out striker. I was surprised at how good Hutton was looking considering he's barely playing at club level. I'd have him in the team any day. I don't think Cowdenbeath will be too much trouble, especially away from home. Their fans are the first to acknowledge the team is pish and they looked awful midweek.

Why does Strachan insist on picking the likes of that Ritchie boy? Is he really any better than Russell, GMS, Pawllet? Does my head in.

Mackey-Stevens should be in, we need pace and a bit of flair and Armstrong was United's best player in the games I watched and both have started strongly at Celtic, they should be playing. Mark Reynolds should be at centre half in front of that lump of shite Hanley too.

Oh, for fuck's sake. That was both shite and freezing. The wind made any sort of decent game impossible but Dumbarton won it with a cracker of a goal. We had a decent number of half chances, missed a couple of glaring opportunities and were worthy of a point. But we didn't take our chances; c'est le football. It was so windy that the goal kicks were going out for throw-ins almost level with the edge of the box. Seagulls were flying in reverse. The real winners today are Rangers who go level on points with Hibs with a game in hand and almost made up the goal difference. Hopefully we can catch Queens by next weekend. Roll on Gibraltar! And Cowdenbeath. On a side note, I didn't know that Jim had opened a newsagents on Glasgow Road.

You're not going to believe me but that is right round the corner from my flat, honestly less than 2 minutes walk!
Dumbarton on Live4ever... I'm proud!
I can see the stadium from my window. You'd have walked by a load of new built townhouses on the way down to the ground, and I'm in the older sandstone tenements.

I usually go for a pint in the bowling club before the match because there's always live football on in there. That part of the town has got some pretty nice buildings as well. I actually took shelter inside one of the tenement halls that had an open door about half way down Victoria Street.

Can't think why Fletcher is being picked either - he's clearly regressed as a player and I think he's pretty hopeless if Scotland have any hopes for the future. I'd get rid, it's just not nearly good enough. I'd like to see more of Rhodes, particularly considering his form over the last few months.

This is the "posh" end of the town, rest of the town is a shite hole haha! The Rock bowling club is a good place for away fans as the pub at the train station, The Stags Head, is a dive nowadays, it's only saving grace is the rock chick barmaid, she's a tiger! Dumbarton are looking to move within the next couple of years again to a new stadium as a housing developer wants to continue building new housing on the present site and right opposite the stadium too. I used to sell programmes at the old Boghead park back in the day and now occasionally go to the hospitality at The Rock as I play 5's with a couple of Dumbarton fans. Good wee club.

Hope Sunderland get relegated, a lazy bunch of tools full of overpaid mediocre playing prima donnas.

Didn't see the Scotland game, was watching the Georgia v Germany game. Germany looked really good, some of their possession play was out of this world. I think they will go on to win the group despite their poor-ish start.
This group is going down to the wire though.

Hiya Jim, hiya pal. I've been reading some rumblings that the so called saviours of The Rangers are about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard and Mordor is still a total shambles. The gift that keeps on giving

I forgot to give my customary thoughts on last night's game.
Cold, boring and no quality on show for anyone. I can't actually remember a game this season where it hasn't been cold. Cowdenbeath were worse than we were, came for a point and didn't get it. We badly miss Loy and there are rumours that me may not even be back for the cup semi. But we're finally up to fourth place which is fantastic. Lets hope we can stay there.

Either King was talking pish that he had one lined up or the one he has are still going through the mess all the previous boards have left. And we had the pleasure of finding out if we get promoted we need to hand over £500k to Newcastle for the 5 loan players... 3 haven't even kicked a ball due to injury or illness, 1 who lasted 40 minutes, only Vukic has contributed. Depressing shite.
