Good win today, dominated from start to finish.
Not surprised Hearts are doing shite under Cathro, he's a total dweeb. Doubt he could inspire fish to water.

I'm fascinated by all aspects of Scottish football history so this documentary on BBC 1 on Wednesday evening about the Lisbon Lions should be good.
The guy who did it made a really great radio documentary on Bill Shankly a few years back.

Hey Matt, you might enjoy this: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08rnn58Some of the acting clips in at are cringworthy and some of the footage they used is not in chronological order (only mad Arabs like me would notice that though), but over all it tells the story quite well.

Looks fantastic globe, I'm gonna watch it tonight. This is before my time so when I see these pictures I'm awestruck - I remember being amazed when finding out about Dundee Utd almost getting to the final of the European Cup in 1984 (and unfairly knocked out it seems). I honestly think some of the magic could be brought back to Scottish football with safe standing. It would be great for all stadiums and all clubs to bring back some of the old atmosphere.

Aye, cheated by those AS Roma wankers. Took them apart in the first leg at Tanny, beat them 2-0. Second leg in Rome was a farce, they bribed the ref, had two well dodgy penalties and our players and management was subjected to horrendous abuse and intimidation from the players and officials of Roma. We would have played Liverpool in the final - was a great feeling watching the cheats get beat on pens in the final: PS yes I still hate Roma.

I recall seeing the images of Jim McClean and Walter Smiths heads bowed and just getting pelters from the crowd. That's not the only time there were dodgy dealing with Italian clubs in Europe - Derby County getting beat by Juventus was very suspicious, and Shankly's Liverpool were knocked out of the European Cup in the 60s in similar fashion to Utd. The fact that Liverpool beat Roma on penalties shows very well that your lot would have been more than a match in the final.

Got back from an Irish bar in London as they were one of the only few showing the Scottish Cup final. You won't believe it globe, but I was stood next to none other than Peter Houston. Told me his wife was in London for a few days and he had to get away from the fancy clothes shopping to watch the game! Didn't know if it was him at first as nobody recognised him (he looks like the generic bloke who goes to the pub to watch a bit of footie!), but then I picked up the courage to ask him if he was who I thought he was!

Fucking gutted. If only Hayes and McLean hadn't fucked that two on one, who knows what might've been.
Couldn't have asked any more from the team though, put their hearts and souls into that performance, particularly in the first half, Celtic scored with pretty much their only shot of the half.
Very painful to lose it in the last minute but in fairness if it had gone to extra time Celtic would probably have cruised it, the legs were totally gone from us.

It's not so much that he's a great player that he's going to massively improve them (he was our 3rd best midfielder behind Shinnie and McLean) but you just do not make that move, ever, especially after being Aberdeen captain and lying to your manager that you aren't going to Rangers. Snake.
