I've got a feeling this will sound like the big brother of Leave My Guitar Alone.

I hate country, but I will reserve judgment since it is Noel.

I think it will sound like the fourth cousin, twice removed of Part of the Queue's aunt.

The inbred mutant bastard son of (Probably) All In The Mind. That could theoretically describe the worst song in human history.

I'm thinking it will be the weirdo uncle of 'Stay Young'.

I don't it will sound like "country", but rather a very western feel, maybe a acoustic slide guitar section?

There's a reason songs like Champagne Supernova aren't called Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is and it's the same reason songs like Digsy's Dinner aren't called Death and All His Friends. It will be shit.

It's a country song. It will be the sister and also the wife of (You've Got The) Heart of a Star

It's a country song. It will be the sister and also the wife of (You've Got The) Heart of a Star Because out in the country, your sister and your wife tend not to be mutually exclusive.

Noel's definitely going to put his spin on 'Happy Birthday'. It'll be the new Shakermaker.

I've just been reliably informed that there is a new track yet to come from the Chasing Yesterday sessions. It's a 3-minute C&W/honky-tonk track called Here's a Candle. It's in the key of G and features a banjo and a sax. I've no info about when/if it's due to be released, though I would guess it's going to be a future b-side or bonus track. Before anyone asks, I don't have a copy (I haven't even heard it myself!), though I can assure you my friend's info is very trustworthy. Is your friend Noel Gallagher? Spot on info.

I don' like country either but I'm open to what Noel's got here.
Love the Verve's 'country song' though!
