you call someone a troll for his different opinion? if someone likes the new Noel album he/she s ok, but if he/she gives it a 6/10 verdict and say that the album has a few terrible songs, you call him/her a troll? !!! i suppose that everyone has the right to say something here, without the fear to call them "trolls" or "absolutely terrible" and the post from the therobohump member, you can hardly call it trolling or absolutely terrible also. Have you not seen this person's contribution to this forum? Signs up and every post is a critical one. Maybe he/she is a genuine fan that never signed up to this forum, despite lurking and being a big enough fan to download the leak. Or, it's a jealous existing user who signed up a new account just to troll this section and to put a downer on the goodwill surrounding the album. Which do you think is the most likely scenario? I v checked his/her post, 6 so far, and i cant see see anything "terrible"/wrong in them. Nothing actually to call him/her a troll. if he/she used to be a troll in the past, i dont know anything about it. The best reaction i suppose was "wait and see" and if that member try to troll i m gonna definitely be with you. btw, therobohump, giving CY a 6/10 and calling "the mexican" a terrible song seems to me fair enough and thats definitely not a downer on the goodwill surrounding the album. I gave the album a 6,5/10 and my verdict to "the mexican" or "LATD" was really 'horrible'. Am i a troll too? (anyway.no need for arguments between us.have a nice day...)

Still can't believe they're obsessed with Noel and post everything about him, and then give him a 7 out of 10. WTF NME. its not that hard to work out. They feature Oasis, Noel or Liam in Print or websites to push sales thats it. People will click a link or buy a magazine/paper if its any thing to do with them. Doesn't mean they like their music. NME been doing this with Oasis for 15 years now.

What is funnier is that Noel will still get award nominations next year because they want him to show up at the ceremony.

In the long run, getting a 7/10 from the NME is probably the best thing to happen to this album...the more it's separated from that awful music "journalism", the more it'll be taken seriously.

48:13 by Kasabian got a 7/10 but they're nominated basically everywhere at NME Awards. I think NME invented new awards just for them

Robohump is a troll and the last time he appeared here was when the first Noel album came out, he claimed to have a copy of it in advance and is just being an all out bullshitter.

This album deserves no less than an 8/10. I would love to read any justification of a lower score.

I always seem to get enraged by Guardian comments on Oasis related articles. Full of pretentious wankers.

Liam was totally right, Noel likes to lick NME's ass and they keep slagging off his albums.

People are getting really angry about this NME thing. The review is badly written I'll give you that. But the 7/10 isn't that horrendous. It's not a low enough score that people would be put off checking the album out if they were a fan of Noel's. And not low enough that the people that like to slag off the Gallagher's can point at the score to show why he isn't worth listening to.
Sure considering the way that the NME cover Noel constantly you would have excepted an 8-9/10. But whatever...
The good thing is that they are inconsistent. And the articles they write about Noel and his album will likely be very complementary following this regardless of the number they gave it.
Kind of pathetic that they have such a poor and inaccurate write-up for an artist that sells such a lot of records for them though.

That's a review for the warm up gig True enough. But you know they're going to give the album 3/5 regardless. I'll bet UGHF's life on it. [Either way, I win].

Who's gonna be the first reviewer to tell the truth and give the album full marks then?
