Nice ending to the last episode (Ep. 5: 'Rebecca'), but if Jimmy isn't well on his way to becoming Saul by the end of this series, I'm not gonna bother with the next one. It's just too damn slow. I mean, that opening scene with Jimmy round for dinner at Chuck's place went on for 10 minutes! A whole 10 minutes just to say 'oh yeah, Chuck is jealous of Jimmy' again...
We need another Gilligan or Gould penned episode to get things moving again.

I like visiting this world Gilligan has created between two different shows. I'd like to see it go about 5 seasons. Rushing characters and cameos would spoil that. So many directions to go still. - You have 2001/2002 Jimmy (main show timeline) - You have Cinnabon Gene in present day - You have potential side episodes that take place during Breaking Bad era but only feature Saul and Mike (2007-2010) - You've got flashback stories to tell So much interesting ground to cover.

Is there a third season on the way? There so much left in the open.

Agree. I like how slow it is. Great to see the character of Kim starting to be explored more too.

Really enjoyed Bali Ha'i.
Think the show (or at least this series of the show) is starting to take shape now. I hope so, anyway.

Now I'm interested in this show again, what're everyone's theories for what's going to happen to Kim?

Hard to say but I think she will no doubt get involved in one of Jimmy's schemes and either get bumped off or she'll simply have enough of him and leave! Watched one of those review shows where you have a couple of nerds sat round a table, discussing Breaking Bad 'easter eggs' and all that - usually hate that kind of shit, but they raised some good points. As well as drawing attention to the similarities (and also the differences) with the "suit-up montage" from the last ep and Kim's one with the post-it notes from the ep before, they pointed out that Kim's hometown on the Kansas-Nebraska border would be near to where Jimmy works now in the present day, in the Cinnabon store in Omaha, Nebraska. Will be interesting if, when we get up to date with Jimmy McGill where he is now, after the events of Breaking Bad, if he'll seek out Kim or something.

Blimey! Mike, in the middle of the desert, tripwiring a big truck and hogtying the driver up by the side of the road; someone hitting their bonce against a hard surface and getting knocked out cold - was almost like a Breaking Bad episode!
And how great was Odenkirk in that last scene? When it cuts back to him after Chuck falls to the floor and you can see him emerging out the doorway a bit, his physicality is that of a child who's about to get bollocked for something, all rigid with guilt and fear for what might happen next.

Great season that arguably not only matched the quality of the parent show but often overtook it. Mike's sniper attack in the finale was incredibly intense with beautifully long, slow, quiet shots. A shame so many modern shows seem determined to have wall-to-wall music in their dramatic scenes (the X-Files and Doctor Who - great as they are - are two of the worst perpetrators of this style) because - as this sniper scene showed - there's often an added realism to something when you don't use music. ...Will be interesting if, when we get up to date with Jimmy McGill where he is now, after the events of Breaking Bad... I was wondering if they'd do that. Once the BETTER CALL SAUL prequel storyline winds up, they could do an entire BETTER CALL SAUL episode or entire season set after BREAKING BAD.

I love the pace of this show. The tension that builds is immense and although it's a prequel, I have no idea of where it's going - only its destination.
It's going to be a long wait for season 3.

Breaking Bad was great but this is so much better. Not really. BCS profits a lot from what we know about BB. Still a great show and great season finale.

Really great show. I love the slow tempo and detailed episodes. Now I'm watching Breaking Bad again (first rewatch).

Better Call Saul's the only current show I really like watching and look forward to, but there won't be any new episodes 'til February or March of next year.....
Thanks?

I'm still all in on Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Not so much that shitty spinoff. I literally couldn't care if they all get eaten on that show. So that's a problem if you can't like any of the characters.

I know I'd like Game of Thrones, I watched a little bit, but, I really don't wanna invest myself in another story, quite honestly... not my genre, etc.... Recommendation for you: 'Vinyl' on HBO, great show....lots of real band cameos, Olivia Wilde naked, haha. God bless.
