Better Man shouldn't have been on the album, b-side material at best, you can see that they tried something new with it, with a Stone Roses vibe going on, but still underveloped, this is one of the tracks on HC which a real producer would do gold with it. BTW actually Better Man wasn't supposed to be on HC, my album, bought in 2002, doesn't have BM on it's tracklist, but last week I went to a music store and I saw HC album with BM on the tracklist, unreal for me cos I was accustomed without BM on the tracklist.

I've only heard both Better Man and PAITM a few times, but my memory tells me Better Man was even worse than PAITM

I am the only one who likes PAITM. I'm okay with that.
But I had no idea Better Man wasn't listed as Track 11 on early copies of HC. Or maybe I did but forgot in the 12 years since its release. That is an incredible bit of news.

That is an incredible bit of news. I bought mine the day it came out at Best Buy in New Jersey. It has Better Man as the final track on the back cover. Might be a regional or country related misprint. ................and yes, Probably All In My Mind sucks. Not as much as Better Man but it sucks all the same.

Does anyone know who ever wrote The Cage? It sounds like something on the first Forza Motorsport game on the original xbox.

I quite like The Cage. It's better than half of the rest of the album...

a Woman in her 40's did an acoustic cover of probably all in the mind in liverpool a few weeks back, surprised me greatly. it was also brilliant!
Born on a different cloud live in 2002 at finsbury and trafford was amazing, as was SCYHO and LBL, great gigs and times for me. SIL is a great little ditty for the ladies , they love it. hindu times is brilliant.
the rest is average I guess.

The Cage is brilliant. It works well as a ghost track but I'd rather we didn't have to wait 30+ minutes to get to it. It is a standout track from the HC era and maybe even 00s.

If one didn't know any better Probably All In My Mind sounds like it was written by Gem or maybe Andy.

When I first heard it back in 2002, I thought it lacked something already on first listen, I didn't know what or why at the time, but I thought it was their worst album.

The singles are decent but the rest of the album is just pure terror to the ears.

I also thought for months that Andy wrote PAITM and Noël wrote AQP because I misread the notes in the booklet. I couldn't believe it when I finally found out Noel wrote it. Dreadful song
