What an eerie performance. I know Liam was in a bad mood all night but the 'take me there' outro gives me chills. This really shows the downfall and break-up of the band in one performance

He is not a consummate professional .....he's a fucking kid from manc at heart , and wears his heart on his sleeve ...good or bad ,,,,,and I applaud that ,,,,,the rest of you that analyze every freaking vocal are jokes .....it's why he's a ROCK STAR why relates to common people ....he fucks up ....accept it ....his highs are extreme , his passion endless ,,,,THATS WHAT MAFE OASIS DIFFERENT

Didn't Noel refer to that as pretend/forced anger or something? That schtick of Liam's pretty much ruined latter day Oasis. Looks stupid, sounds shit.

I WANT OASIS BACK ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I'm talking about the breaking of the band. You can clearly see Liam is looking at Noel finishing the song on his own and knowing that he can't sing like he used to, and isn't needed by his brother anymore; and the heart just isn't in it anymore. That's what I get from that anyway

Yeah I always got an eerie feeling when I watched this, that look he gives Noel as he's staring at him near the end is spooky

What an eerie performance. I know Liam was in a bad mood all night but the 'take me there' outro gives me chills. This really shows the downfall and break-up of the band in one performance Liam has changed a lot in last 8 years. Before Liam was too stoned to be mad for long. The point of Oasis career Liam should be enjoying and more relaxed, but he wasn't. He wanted more and more control. He hated being outshine by Noel and hated not controlling the ship. Noel did and when oasis started he had to. Noel's songs drove the band to fame and Liam was just frustrated, tired and changed. Since oasis split, I've seen Noel grew leap and bounds. Liam is struggling. Beady Eye is lack luster with sales, Liam's personal life is a mess and Pretty Green is only thing seems solid. Noel didn't need Liam, because his confidence grew.

Gems guitar is too loud. That's the only eerie thing about that video.

the whole performance is shit. it's way to slow. plus liam does his stupid angry singer routine, where he only sings (or should i say "tries to sing") half of the words into his mic. if you compare this to any performance from the 90ies, you don't know if you should cry or laugh.

I have a hard time remembering: Is the iTunes gig the last ever completed Oasis concert?
I have yet to hear an Oasis performance where they've nailed Slide Away. In the early days, Liam's voice was fantastic, but the band weren't technically good musicians, while the reverse is true with Oasis in their latter years (fantastic musically, not as great vocally).
I hate angry Liam, but he did do a decent job on the night - when he did decide to perform.
The performance of Champagne Supernova from that gig is the best he's sounded in almost a decade. It was that good (video below).
I do wish we knew the entire story of the entire tour. It all got off to a bad start with Noel dropping good songs off of DOYS because of Liam getting married, then we had the Pretty Green bullshit, Noel was attacked on stage, Noel mentioned he wanted a 5 year break (which angered Liam), etc.
I've always wondered if Liam knew Oasis was breaking up prior to this iTunes gig. I know their cancellation of their last gig was due to what happened on that night (smashed guitars, plums, etc) but I do wonder if the decision was made before then? All the signs were there.....
Anyway, this is fucking brilliant:

again, way too slow and liam's singing is annoying. i don't know how anyone who heard oasis performing live before - let's say 2002 or 2003 - can say that that would be brilliant.

He seems to have been really angry there. There was a short video where Andy obviously tried to calm down a rather wet Liam. If the general mood in the band wasn't the best I guess having sth like that happen did nothing to improve it.
Found it!

Sadly, it seems that Liam's life is wenting downhill, Beady Eye had bad luck last year and he divorcied this year, Oasis was his life really, without this Liam lost his confidence.

( reprise I will try not to curse so,you don't get offended ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) Your swearing doesn't bother me at all, the way you express yourself here does. It just seemed funny to me that people who don't agree with you are assholes, yet this is how you format your words: every freaking vocal are jokes .....it's why he's a ROCK STAR why relates to common people ....he fucks up ....accept it ....his highs are extreme , his passion endless ,,,,THATS WHAT MAFE OASIS DIFFERENT

Whatever happened to that troll (think his name was TheDon or summat?) who was only a self-proclaimed Oasis fan pre-1997 or summat? Him (The Don?), BeadyEyeUnofficial, LGFaver, LordDontNoelMeNow.....I miss all those trolling fuckers.

Eh, I've always liked that gig. It's intense. I wish Beady Eye had the same energy...

This thread is heartbreaking for live4ever forum fans. Get it together you nerdy bickering fucks. Im pretty sure your online arguments are a million times more embarrassing than any bad Liam vocal.

Dont see much fucking wrong here. Plenty of raw energy and emotion going on. The voice is shot but the dedication and intergity is as intense as ever. Which is fucking fine by me. The only heartbreaking thing here is the petty scrutinising analysis yet again ffs.
