I have Bose QuietComfort (QC) 15: www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/noise_cancelling_headphones/quietcomfort_15/index.jsp Have had them for years now, and they have and still are serving me well. But they don't handle rock music as well as I would like. I want something with more bass, and something that I can turn the volume up high and have no distortion. I'd also prefer them to be noise-cancellation (like the Bose) so they won't leak much sound when I do have the volume up. Also, I don't want the headphones to be an obnoxious size. No bigger than the Bose I have. And I refuse to even give Dre Beats a look in. Any suggestions?

i don't like wrap around headphones...they mess up my hair. urbeats by Dre are the best earphones i've ever used... but, i'm also not an earphone connoisseur. earphones/headphones are definitely something where you get what you pay for...one time, in a pinch, i bought $3.99 headphones from the grocery store - i still have nightmares about it. Thanks.

Beady’s Here Now I'd definitely recommend Sennheiser, they have great quality headphones for all price ranges. Give them a look and get back to me on what you find

My brother has a pair of Beats and they are absolutely dire for Oasis, and not exceptional for anything else. I use a pair of Sony ZX100's and they are fantastic for everything I listen to, at a very reasonable price of £15 if you shop around.

Sennheisers are great. I have a pair of P5's from B&W are they are just great all around head phones. Good for just about everything.

Dealing with other things atm. But I wanted suggestions for when I do start looking around, so cheers.

Thinking about these: www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/noise_cancelling_headphones/quietcomfort_20/index.jsp&Variant=qc20#mainToday may be the day, so if anyone can offer further advice on the Bose QC 20 (above), or suggestions for another type, that would be appreciated. Again, I have the Bose QC 15, which are nice, but don't handle bass too well. Looking for the next step up - but still want the noise cancellations - Not even going to consider Beats, even though I did like sampling them from someone who had them last summer (bass was fantastic, but I want the noise cancellation so it prevents music leaking badly so I can crank the tunes up). Will keep the QC 15 around, not throwing them out or trading them in, but as music is my main form of entertainment, I want something better than what I already have (which is already quite good).

Might make a stop at Best Buy and ask one of the employees in the music department thinks, first, as he would be impartial, because every single review says that while Bose is very good, you can find better headphones for the same price of Bose's. But the Bose brand is a highly attractive element, here. So.....yeah.

Earphones are more my sort of thing.
You really can't go wrong with Sennheiser MX375 - only cost me £15 too!
Bass, like you're looking for, is the leading feature but there genuinely is a surprisingly good all-round clarity of sound.
£15 too - unbelievable! And unlike over-ear headphones, I can take that sound quality in my pocket.

Tried the QC 20 at the Bose store. I liked them better than the QC 15, but the difference was too small to warrant the $300 pricetag.
Thinking of heading to Best Buy when I get the chance and see if they have any headphones mentioned in this thread.
Cheers.

I bought a pair on the day Noel's album came out and they're already cutting in and out.
Luckily, I bought the warranty.

Thanks.
