Reality game shows and soap operas not that I watch any of them and I'm pleased to say that I've never watched a reality game show in my life. Not everyone likes these programmes and I can't stand bloody Ant and Dec they're on TV too much and they're crap TV presenters.

Tapping. People not taking empty toilet rolls out of the bathroom. Road rage. I don't hate this but I find the middle age Liam wannabes rather embarrassing. Each to their own but seeing some 40 year old in a bucket hat with the long mod sides and a short fringe flashing a V sign is not to my taste.

Boris Johnson and this useless Government. Plus Donald Trump, thank God he'll be out of the White House soon. Pity that the UK has got another four years of this bloody government though.

People who, when asked about things/actions they regret, say "I regret nothing". My theory is that these people either believe that self reflection means the same thing as rumination, and by answering that way makes it clear they're simply focused on living in the moment... or they're actual fucking psychopaths.

People parking in the mother/baby spaces who don't have babies. (And there are A LOT of people doing it) I've got in so many arguments with people about it. I never quite saw the big deal until I had a baby myself. They are a godsend when trying to get a baby out of the car
Also people with disabled badges parking in mother/baby spaces. Again, argued with so many people.
"I've got a disabled badge" "Yes, but this isn't a disabled space, now go over there!"

Old songs that fade out too abruptly. It can be done well, but sometimes you'll be right in a song and then it just fades away in a really rushed manner, you barely even have time to register that the song ended seemingly out of nowhere. Like I hinted at this seems to be purely a thing of the past, pre the 70's I would say, but it doesn't make it any less infuriating. Listened earlier to the studio version of Try A Little Tenderness by Otis Redding, and... it's criminal. God damn.

One news channel will report "police are searching for up to seven people" and the next channel will report "police are searching for at least seven people". Sometimes the same channel will use both phrases in the same report. To me they both mean different things.
I had assumed that "up to" means the maximum amount of people police are searching for (ie that's all there is and they'll stop when they get to seven) and "at least" means that's the minimum amount of people they are searching for (ie there may be more).
I also often hear phrases such as "up to seven victims hurt and police say there will be more announced" - in which case why put an upper limit on it by saying "up to"? Wouldn't it be better to just say "at least seven victims hurt?"
Am I mistaken with my understanding of the two terms or is it just sloppy journalism? Are they actually just interchangeable and mean the same thing or are they both used as just a fancy media way of saying "around" or "approximately"?
Then they start rounding things up and down. For example the hottest December day for forty nine years is announced as "this has been the hottest December day for almost fifty years!" Why not just say "forty nine years" in the first place?
Its even worse when it's in print - an article will state "almost 10,000 dollars has been stolen" and several paragraphs later the actual figure is quoted "the final amount stolen was 9,999 dollars".
I can understand the "almost 10,000" as part of a spoken news story (especially as part of a quick introduction by a news anchor) but why use it as part of a printed article? Why not just print the actual figure in the first place? Do they think readers won't know that 9,999 is almost 10,000 and need it pointed out to them?
I notice it in nearly every news report that quotes a figure - "almost" and "over". Watch the news tonight and count how many times it occurs.
Newsreader last night breathlessly announced a figure as "almost a dozen". I guess it was a toss up between that and "over ten".
It turned out the actual figure she was referring to was - you might have guessed - simply "eleven". Not sure why she couldn't say "eleven" in the first place.

I know this is controversial but...wokeness
I see myself as a leftist, and think we should all strive for equality and progress as a society, but I truly hate it when a joke or a comment taken out of context get the same loud and horrified reaction as something that is truly discriminatory and disrespectful, and I hate it when people get deemed as something they are not just because they have a slightly different opinion to what is considered to be the politically correct one
It's like social media is erasing all the different shades of language and expression and all we're left with is either black or white

Suddenly, he's just another stooge who turns a blind eye to the institutional racism and crimes of the police, despite being confronted with evidence that the tribal messaging blocks achieving their goals. The lack of nuance from progressives and hysteria if challenging aspects is the reason why good causes constantly go down the toilet these days, both in the US and UK.

Channels which keep changing on Freeview and that we have to keep returning. We've got to retune yet again on Monday as more channels are moving. Honestly we seem to be doing it nearly every month now.

Her response: Go to Nicaragua and see what the Defund The Police means there. If militia killing people is what you want, get a brain.
