We all know why DOYS' second half was poor, but I think this visual makes it so evident, and puts the dissapointment into stark reality:
1. Noel Gallagher 2. Noel Gallagher 3. Noel Gallagher 4. Noel Gallagher 5. Liam Gallagher 6. Noel Gallagher 7. Noel Gallagher ---- 8. Gem Archer 9. Liam Gallagher 10. Andy Bell 11. Liam Gallagher
Seriously, what the fuck, Noel?
Don't get me wrong, LAG can produce at times, but 4 songs in a row - especially at the end of an album - really?
Truly unbelievable.
Whose dumbass decision was it to ruin DOYS like that?
Tracks 1-7 are strong, and then LAG shocks and awes us with an assault of moronic songs. (Ok, TBWTL isn't too bad - especially the live version, but still).

LAG should've been given responsibility for the middle of the album, the last four tracks is a crazy idea. No big album closer here - what makes it worse as the closer of DOYS was effectively the closing track of Oasis itself, that Soldier On was the last thing left for us by Oasis.
I don't mind Soldier On but to draw the line under such a legacy with it is saddening.

I think I'm one of those few people who love Liam's nursery rhyme type songs and melodies. I could listen to Soldier On all day, something about it gets to me man
