Number 2 is very good in this climate where fairly established acts in the same category (Strokes, Courteeners, Enemy, Miles Kane, there's lots more) are all flopping. The first two aren't even bothering with further singles.
Plan for now then, stop fannying around with that Apple and get I'm Just Saying out. Followed by Iz Rite. Followed by Start Anew. Three excellent radio singles there which would get a lot of love on XFM, 6 Music, etc and keep things ticking nicely.
Got a terrible feeling Soul Love is the next single though. Good song but won't win over neutrals/stray Oasis fans.
What else can they do to keep things rolling after this week? Pretty certain Andy and Gem's wife keep a eye on the forum.

I may have got the wrong end of the stick but when you say 'the first two aren't even bothering with further singles', did you mean The Strokes and the Courteeners? As The Courteeners released a new album called ANNA this year.

I meant from their new albums because they flopped

Aww fair enough, just misunderstood what point you were making. I actually quite liked ANNA and thought it was a good album from the Courteeners.

Back onto the topic. I didn't really understand why they had released Second Bite Of The Apple as the lead single, until last night. Hearing it on The Voice and how the crowd seemed to react made me realise that it is probably the most media/chart friendly tune they could have went with. Flick Of The Finger in Liams opinion is the first single from this album (check out interview with Andy in In The Press section). Personally my favourite track is Start Anew, due to the simplicity of it and the hard-as-fuck drums on the tune. So that would be my next single. Not a major fan of Iz Rite, but can see how it would be the perfect summer tune, similar to The Roller in that case.

Number 2 is good. Now they need to anounce a uk tour and blow people away live. An acoustic section just like the morning glory gigs would be great midway through.

Second single Soon Come Tomorrow, third I'm Just Saying and everything is fine

Controversial, but maybe put five/six Oasis songs in the setlist to perhaps move into larger venue territory?
I'd happily hear 14 Beady Eye songs and six Oasis ones.
Just want them to do well so we can hear more albums from Beady Eye.
I think the band have won back a lot of respectability with BE. While DGSS was good, getting Sitek on board was inspired.
NGHFB2 won't sell as many copies as the first one, and Noel will have to raise his game creatively after BE.

Second single Soon Come Tomorrow, third I'm Just Saying and everything is fine I doubt Soon Come Tomorrow would do anything commercially. Start Anew is easily the most likely of that album.

I like Soon Come Tomorrow, but I agree with tomlivesforever, it's not a "Commercially" song. Star Anew will get more commercially succeed than Soon Come Tomorrow.
and it's a good song, but not a rock song (to me anyway).

I think Start Anew will become a single. It's instant and the last Liam single was actually Bring The Light. I hope that they release Iz Rite or I'm Just Saying as the next single. The former is POP and can perhaps win over some Abba fans ( ). The latter proves that vintage OASIS still exists.

Do singles all get music videos? or does the band pick them out before they release the album?
I personally think Soon come tomorrow should be a single

I read they made 21 songs for this album. I don't know if they recorded all 21 though. But maybe Beady Eye will make the right move for a second single and release a stand alone with its own new B-side.
That would get the fans buying left and right. Make it CD, Digital and Vinyl and have 3K limited edition signed/numbered vinyls along with the regulars and signed/numbered CD's along with the regulars.
I bet if the songs were good it would hit number 1. Which would be great exposure and could even make BE pop back into the charts somewhere leading to more sales and more exposure which is something BDI desperately need.

Has it been confirmed / rumoured that the bonus tracks may be used as future b-sides? The possibility of not getting anything new from Beady Eye for 2 or even 3 years is a bit bleak The news / release of the singles and their b-sides are a major part of the fun of the whole album / tour campaign!

When I'm listening to Iz Rite and drift in and out, when I'm driving along, and the "when you call my name, it takes away my pain" comes in I just think that would be something you'd hear on the radio and just get into. So catchy

One being a bonus track and the other new material. Put it on a 12 inch vinyl.
