However if you did a uncut raid of his fridge these days I guarantee you there will be more bottles of wine than cans of Stella i reckon Liam would have the kind of wine that wasn't at its best kept in the fridge though

Ha, gotta love Liam.
Always can count on one of the Gallaghers to summon the rage of quite a diverse and rabid fanbase. Believe me from research, Daft Punk fans are only a little more "adult" (just a little) in their ardor (read: zeal) than the fans of the Bieber.

This is why I love him so much , I know i sound repetitive but as long as threads keep being made of Liam's " outrageous " comments or behavior it needs to be said LIAM ain't thick like he wants all you to believe . Can't believe mostly everyone even some older fans get into his " antics thinking right then he's back " i If this was not prior to single and album Release he may just as easy as said lovely tune my kids love it , just as before the album was written he said he rarely drinks and is into health . Suddenly. Lp time. Liam being " banned from pubs. Photographers know where to find him doing outrageous things to camera , Now pop band sells right before release. Liam slams and more publicity ... Man is smart knows when to be outrageous he's like the kid in school who sits there pulling C MINUS all year but come finals aces test , cause he was just cruising .... .. It's all perfect timing to promote its not britpop it's not lad culture returning ...it's smart buisness to do it , why I love the cat ...Or, ya know, maybe pre-album release time is the high time when numerous press interviews are to be done-- and with those comes the inundation of inquiries on his opinions on varying pop culture topics, most 'specially topics of the popular music variety in general (upon which he is most involved in, no?)-- and further with said inquiries come the "gotcha" journalistic purpose of the music press since the beginning of musical press times to, in whatever means possible, concoct a sensationalist (i.e. "controversy!!" "striking, salient, salacious!!") heading. In so doing, clamoring for any tidbit of slant and slight-- no matter if a tongue-in-cheek jocularity was conveyed or subsisted throughout said "interview"-- that might give them Something Striking and Sensational!! to garner sales, traffic, and/or "Liked" hits on their respective fronts. Anyway, who even knows what are in the minds of these devious people!?

Oasis will be back in a few years time the split wasnt an act but they knew they were just going through the motions and ended in chaos which will go down as another story in the history..however theres no doubt theyll return, they getting offered massive amounts now as the music industry misses them.i can guarantee had doys continued the success of dbtt they would still be going but it didnt,it went back to sotsog sales n tour and stagnated.theyll be back when guitar music takes off again and coachella calls with 20 million and knebworth record needs breaking

I'm really liking the Daft Punk tune.
Well...insulting the biggest tune of the day will at least getting BDI some headline. Probably the same reason he went on and on about Justin Bieber a while back.

I sure as hell don't know what they think that's for sure And yea that well could be as well , I know the New York Post used to take him out of context all the time , do a so called interview and put only the the outrageous quotes in there " page six " section and label him " lager lout " so yea could be that as well he certainly is the point man for interviews and it certainly he certainly gives them " sound bites " to use ... So yea that too man

I've got to say I like Get Lucky, maybe I shouldn't and that robot bit near the end is terrible but it's pretty funky I like it...

tbf I don't think Liam ever liked Daft Punk I can't see him listening to anything they ever did. I personnally love Daft Punk's album, but I don't like the huge buzz around it like it's the best thing since slice cheese, it's just a very good album but that's it, it's not groundbreaking or anything, and it seems like the media are saying "you have to like it", and celebrities are so hypocritical these days. If Liam had said he love the album, I wouldn't have believe it anyway, he stays true to himself, he doesn't like anything most of the time, and every band he slaggs off makes him free press, he'll be stupid not to use it. The most surprising thing is that press still find it entertaining after 15 years. And finally, funny story, Daft Punk slagged off Oasis in a 1997's itw Is rock still relevant ? Rock today is a joke. We need to stop pretend it isn't, you can't take it so seriously. The guy from Oasis says "who does M. Jackson takes himself for? For me ?" It's stupid. www.daftpunk-anthology.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/1997.01-Les-Inrockuptibles-Translation1.jpg

I don't like Get Lucky. It's a 5 seconds of funk guitar looped for 4 minutes with pharrel schmoozing over the top of it.
Not for me.
I heard the album. I like it slightly less than DGSS (not that they're comparable albums).

It's an average song, people getting their knickers in a twist about it just shows the state of British music at the moment. And anything Liam says in real life is usually tongue in cheek but looks bad in print. As always

Journalists wind Liam & Noel up just DYING for quotes like these to exploit. NME worst of all.
There was a big story about how Daft Punk was going to top Oasis' sales (http://www.nme.com/news/daft-punk/70347) so clearly they must have asked him about it. Naturally he got defensive and talked out of his ass, because for one thats just him being brutally honest but (secondly) he's a marketing genius. He has no problem being the "guy you love to hate," and knows how to get press. He can practically take a piss and get press, so he knows what he's doing.
I think this was a dumb quote for him, whereas I typically find it funny. But this one he's just kind of asking for it, and people are bashing him/BDI on social media like crazy over this shit...

I thought it was about the BHN record but it was just do you like get lucky.
Gem and andy said yes he said that.
There's a video of it in another thread
I agree normally there is some wit or something attached but there wasnt here. It's been blown out of proportion but when say that about the biggest song of the moment from an established/ non pop act you got to be able to back your claim up which he can't which 99% of people have said

The album won't sell outsell Be Here Now. No way. They were certain several Coldplay albums would and they didn't even come close. I mean, 670, 000 in THREE DAYS. Even in a week, that is unprecedented (obviously). Anywhere close to that, and I'm talking under 500, 000, is extremely rare. It won't do it, you heard it here first

I mean, Oasis' size in 1997 compared to Daft Punk's size in 2013? Really?

Also it was already officially announced that it hadn't when you posted that. Bit like predicting the lottery numbers after they are announced. 165K in 1 week. So far from beating BHN it isn't even funny Bookies were having a laugh.
