Liam seems like such a fucking nice and genuinely funny guy. Too bad that's never the side of him that gets picked up in the press...

Very fun interview, thanks for that. I love the comment about his voice being like he's in top of a camel, it's just so random.

Thanks for that theclock.
I think I'm even more confused as to what we're going to hear on Monday, if anything. They seem to be hinting that 'FOTF' is the actual single in this video and when asked what other songs are stand-outs they mention 'Second Bite Of The Apple' which was confirmed as the second single. I've a gut feeling that there was a bit of a muck-up and 'FOTF' was initially supposed to be single #1. It's just very fuckin' hard to figure out!!!

I'm pretty sure FOTF won't be the single, but I'm confused about what they're planning to do. If the first single gets radio debut on Monday, I don't know when they're planning to announce it. My hopes are that they're waiting to suddenly go full on, with album announcement, artwork, single announcement, radio play and video all at once, but who knows.

They only say it will be the first thing people will hear. A la Bring The Light.

I think people have misread Andy's comments on Flick of the Finger he doesn't say it sounds like Gimme Shelter but its like a Gimme Shelter moment. I've taken it to mean the unexpectedness of the sound.
The comments that have me most excited for the album are Sitek's:
"It’s a trippy record!" Dave Sitek adds. "The strength of the tracks is so high that we got to really play around! It’s rock band instrumentation, but used in a different way. Liam’s vocals are incredible, all you have to do is turn on a microphone and you’re like, ‘That sounds like a record!’ You don’t have to do anything to them."
Add in the fact that he never usually leaves his compound, yet after hearing the demos he came over to London to work with them, I really think he believes in the strength of the tracks.

Liking Flick of the Finger - it's a bit reminiscent of something from the Dig Out Your Soul era, only a lot better.
Can't believe they've called a song Iz Rite - no prizes for guessing who wrote that one!

"There's a lot more magic on this record than there was on Different Gear Still Speeding. I don't think, to be quite honest, there was any magic on that." Liam Gallagher (3.25).

Liam seems like such a fucking nice and genuinely funny guy. Too bad that's never the side of him that gets picked up in the press... I've always said it though. What sells tabloid papers ? A story about Liam letting some 14 year old kid in from the cold to let him jam with him and sign his guitar. Or paparazzi waiting at 3am for him to leave a club hammered and then wind him up waiting for the 'money' shot when Liam has enough and responds to their baiting. Liam being a nice bloke wont sell extra newspapers. To be honest i reckon deep down Liam (and the fans) like the media image he has, its just funny when people totally believe what they read. After the great day at Accrington last week telling some people at work about meeting Liam they half expected him to deck me and kick my dog. Just ridiculous the crap they read and believe.
