I'm going to watch that documentary with David Attenborough on BBC One at 8pm. Extinction The Facts. I'll always listen to what he says but the fact is we'll pay the price for what's happening to our world.

It's not just the extinction of wildlife it's everything else that goes with it as well. I think everyone should watch it if they get the chance. Infact we're paying the price now with extreme weather and these viruses we are seeing now like Covid this year and the ones before them in recent years like Ebola etc. And, it will get wrose.

I'm watching that three part drama on ITV Des which is a true story. He murdered 15 men between 1979 and 1983. Some of it is a bit stomach curing. He was a psychopath. David Tennant who plays him gives an excellent performance.

Des has finished now and it's had good reviews from critics and viewers a like. It was good though even though it was about such a horrible serial killer.

Atlantic A Year In The Wild part 2 last night on C5. Such a great series. I think wild animals are amazing as they've got to find food, look out for predators etc and now deal with climate change and habitat loss etc. They never have it easy.

Tenet. Boring. Nolan should hire Steven Moffat to write his scripts: then his timey-wimey plots might actually entertain his audiences and give them a fun time at the movies, instead of just frustrating them. And certainly the dialogue would be better. The Escapist

I'll be watching Wentworth Prison later. I'm a big fan of it and have always watched it. But from what I've read this series (series 8) and the next one series 9 are the final two which is a shame. Mind you, I guess it can't go on forever.

And certainly the dialogue would be better. The Escapist Haven't been a fan of a Nolan film since Insomnia. For all the respect he deserves as an original, ambitious blockbuster-maker, he has a stunning inability to put protagonists I actually care about on a screen. Batman, DiCaprio in Inception, everyone in Interstellar, Harry Styles in Dunkirk: all of them could have died or been revealed as child molesters and I wouldn't have given a fuck. Just boring people to watch. So I don't think I'll bother with Tenet, considering he hasn't been getting his usual rave reviews. If I want a globe-trotting piece of international timey-wimey mystery, I'll stick to The Impossible Astronaut / The Day of the Moon.

And certainly the dialogue would be better. The EscapistHaven't seen it, but read this article a few days back on Medium about how he risks turning into George Lucas with all his power and no quality control or filter which you might agree with. medium.com/himalkk/nolan-is-turning-into-george-lucas-and-tenet-is-his-phantom-menace-88e3f64e371cI think he's got great films (I personally loved Dunkirk for the sheer spectacle) but all too often, reviews like yours for Tenet is putting me off seeing it. I probably won't bother in all honesty.

Wentworth Prison last night sadly the series will soon be over. Also before that at 9pm on 5Star last night I watched episode one of a new drama called Safe which is about a teenage girl who goes missing. It's good and a lot better than I expected it to be.

Chris Barsby on a 38 year old horse. I have his back because of what happened at Redcliffe once (nearly slipped into a diabetic coma, he has type 1 I think)

Casablanca (dir. Michael Curtiz, 1942)
Of the six films from the 1940s I can remember watching through to the end (It's a Wonderful Life, Notorious, Citizen Kane, A Matter of Life and Death, and The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp being the others), this stacks up particularly well. Artfully directed, snappily edited, with deliciously quotable dialogue delivered by a cast of actors giving admirably lifelike performances for the time, and even something resembling a modern film score playing throughout.

Wentworth Prison it's finished now until next year. I hope Alli isn't dead and just as I thought Ferguson (or The Freak) as everyone calls her is faking it and remembers everything. The next series is supposed to be the final and they're not making anymore. I've also got into that new thriller on 5Star Safe it's about a teenage girl who goes missing. It's really good and a lot better than I thought it would be.
