I presume this is a good show? While waiting for next month's Orange is the New Black, I may as well get stuck into Breaking Bad on Netflix. Maybe. Not too much of a tv show person, kind of prefer documentaries, etc..... As much as I like OITNB, I have to say that Breaking Bad is sooooo much better. One of the best TV shows I've seen! It's comparable to the Sopranos.

Vince Gilligan was on the Dan Lé Batard Show the other day and said he originally wanted Alton Brown of the Food Network and Good Eats fame to play the role of Gale, but Alton couldn't because of scheduling conflicts.
Found that interesting....
God bless.

Been locked in on the Breaking Bad marathon on AMC.... Can't wait for Better Call Saul this spring..... Thanks. I've never seen the show before so my DVR is packed with them. I'm about to watch episode six but the first five have been fantastic. It's like watching one big movie, except it plays out more and is split up into parts. As far as Better Call Saul goes, how does that tie into the Breaking Bad series (without any spoilers given )?

As far as Better Call Saul goes, how does that tie into the Breaking Bad series (without any spoilers given )? I don't think I'm spoiling *that* much to tell you this, but Walt and Jesse eventually get a lawyer for obvious reasons. Better Call Saul is a prequel series set a few years before the events of Breaking Bad (2001, I believe.) It focuses on that character and how he eventually became the person he is in Breaking Bad. And it leans more towards comedy. I tried to sit through the first episode of the Wire twice and couldn't make it. Hated the dialogue. I'm okay with constant swearing when it's done right, but when you just say fuck at every possible moment and there's no point to it my brain shuts off because you just don't sound interesting or worth listening to. Probably why I couldn't follow the plot very well. Is that how real cops talk to each other, I guess, but I don't care.

As stated, Better Call Saul's a prequel, starring characters introduced in season two of Breaking Bad... Better Call Saul's my favorite current show......you should keep up with Breaking Bad, then plenty of time to catch up on Better Call Saul before season three this spring..... ------- Better Call Saul will come and go fast and then another year to wait.....would almost rather have half hour episodes and drag it out a little bit more. God bless.

Are Gallagher interviews "swearing done right"? Fookin' A, mate. I love Tarantino movies, Dexter, Californication, Wolf of Wall Street ... I mean my favorite movie is Scarface. But there's a special art to it. If you're just tossing out fucks and vaginas and motherfuckers to cover the fact you don't have anything interesting to say ... which I find is most people who talk like that in real life ... you just sound unintelligent and uninteresting to me. And I know The Wire has won all kinds of awards so it must be doing something right. So I don't know, if it's meant to be super realistic, I guess cops don't talk like they have a team of writers scripting them. Edit: What?! I said the c word, not vaginas, lol. The board must have done that. My autocorrect didn't do it.

breaking bad was good but i dont know why people raved on about it being the best show ever The Wire would kick its fuckin head on for pure quality drama and action I loved the first series of THE WIRE but I felt it just reset itself for series 2 and started again. I soldiered on until series 3 but I felt it kept doing the same thing yet again. I know that was partly the point of the series - the futility of the cops fighting the same fight year after year no matter how many people they busted - but the actual storytelling got wearisome. BREAKING BAD never fell into that rut - and BETTER CALL SAUL (so far) is arguably even better.

Easily one of the best shows ever; up there with The Wire. Ozymandias was ridiculously good.

Easily one of the best shows ever; up there with The Wire. Ozymandias was ridiculously good. Ozymandias might be the greatest T.V. experience I've ever had. When the episode ended I stared at the screen for like five minutes thinking I just saw one of the best episode of any series ever. Oh man even thinking about that episode gives me chills. What a great show. I want to watch it again soon, it's been a couple of years so it will still be fresh, I've forgotten a lot of stuff that happens.

Watching this again and just finished Season Two. I know that Walt could have saved Jane's life but I've also realised watching it again that if he didn't move her while she was sleeping she wouldn't have choked.
