An odd way to begin the season: United lose, Liverpool lose, Spurs lose, Citeh scrape by, and Chelsea win against a poor team.
If this all occurred in one weekend in the middle of the season, with Arsenal reasonably close to the top, a 0-0 draw vs. Sunderland wouldn't seem so bad.
#Perspective.

United were always going to lose at Everton.
I'm disappointed but I'm hardly surprised.

I wouldn't really be worried about someone's first game result. It really takes 4 or 5 games before you can properly judge a team IMO.

As for last nights game everton played very well and we played some sloppy football. Disappointing but the result reflected the play.

Yes but just because a team plays badly in their first game doesn't mean you can write them off/make them out as title challengers yet. Obviously the points at stake are just as important but you can't get carried away with the results just yet.

Bad day at the office but meh. Early days yet. Some of our players need a few games under their belts.

By the by, that RVP goal was top class..... What pisses me off the most is that my Arsenal jersey from last season has his name on it, and I can't bring myself to wear it for the Arsenal matches because that element makes it's feel oh so wrong

Carroll gone to West Ham on a season-long loan. Fair play to him, he'll get a lot more places in the starting line up.

Good signings from Spurs, I don't think Liverpool'll buy any new tonight I'm afraid, disappointing to say the least. Fuckin' Dempsey.

What a good couple of signings by Wenger. That defensive midfielder is exactly what we're looking for, strong and robust and.....oh, wait, never mind.

Very tough game. Swansea can actually score this year rather than just pass the ball around inside their own half like last year.
