Take the time to read a bit. The answer to your question is only half a page up. I had patriots over Ravens and Giants over 49ers. The only game I've had wrong these playoffs was the Ravens and the Texans. But overall I'm 9-1 for the playoffs and 2-0 for today. I'm killing right now.

That Giants/49ers game was a joke yesterday. ONE guy fucked the 49ers over TWICE. If it wasn't for that kick returner's major brain fart with the ball bouncing off his knee and then fumbling the ball at the very end, San Francisco wins that game. I would hate to be that guy. It's one thing if a few people screw up, but that dude single handedly cost them 10 points and those were their only real miscues.
I didn't get to see the Ravens/Pats game yesterday, but it looks like Tom Brady struggled pretty hard. Is the Giants defense better than the Ravens at this point? If so, I'm thinking Giants are winning again. They have a killer defense and a competent quarterback who can actually take advantage of opportunities.

I'm going to make the case right now why the Patriots will win the SuperBowl. The Patriots will win because the Giants can not run the ball. People keep saying that the Giants have a killer defense and the Patriots defense is terrible. The Patriots gave up 21.4 points per game this year, the Giants gave up 25 points per game. And the Patriots have actually played pretty damn good defense during the playoffs. Now I know what people will say, well the Patriots have only face Tebow and Flacco. And you're completely right, but remember this, the 49ers offense isn't that much better than the Ravens. The Giants faced a passing offense that was Vernon Davis or bust, they beat a Falcons team that has choked in the playoffs and who is basically Tony Gonzalez or bust. Now some will ask, "what about Green Bay?" The problem I have with the Green Bay game is that the Giants really didn't play that good of defense in that game. For me, that game was much more about what the Packers didn't do in dropping balls, rather than what the Giants did do on defense. I challenge anyone to go back and look back at that Giants/GB game and then come back and say that the Giants played good defense. They were very much average that day. Packers recievers do their job, and the Packers win in a route. Now my final point, the biggest point. The Giants can't run the ball. Now some will say that the Giants just need to play defense to win. The problem with that line of thinking is that running is part of your defense. The Giants defense isn't as good as the Ravens. So they are going to have to play a possession game because I don't think the Giants can win in a shootout against the Patriots. If the Giants are able to run the ball then they will give Brady less chances to score and keep him on the sideline and protect their defense from fatigue. The run is the key. As a QB, you can not continually be in 3rd and 8. You can not continually not be able to convert 3rd and 1 running plays and expect to win. The difference between this Giants team and the won that won the Supebowl is that the one that won the Superbowl not only played defense, but also ran the ball. That team rushed for more yards than the Patriots and also won the time of possession which is why they won. They limited Brady's chances to pass the ball and kept him on the sidelines. It resulted in a 17-14 game. Another thing that worries me about the Giants is the O-line. Eli got hit a lot during that game. He has a bad O-line and it's no secret. Much different from the Superbowl winning team. A game which only saw Eli sacked 3 times. People say that you need defense to win a championship. They ask how many times has a team with a bad defense won the Superbowl. That's a valid question. But a more valid question is when was the last time you saw a team that couldn't run the ball and couldn't protect their QB win the Superbowl. Think long and hard about that one. I will gaurantee this, the team that has the most rushing yards in this game will win. That's the only stat you have to look for. Because what's just as hard as winning a Superbowl with an average defense, is trying to win one with a suspect line and no running game. Patriots defense a bit underrated, Giants defense is just a bit overrated. I'm picking the Patriots in a squeaker. 31-28. I'm 9-1, I've predicted not only score, but also the manner of winning. So hopefully Brady will ride me to a 10-1 record for the postseason.

Don't get ahead of yourself, Nostradamus It's hard to bet against Tom Brady, but he played pretty poorly yesterday. You have to assume the Giants can be just as physical and knock him around just as much, if not more. The Giants front 4 are pretty beastly. Eli got ROCKED yesterday a number of times, but still managed to make throws when he needed to, in the rain no less, without throwing any picks. I think it's going to be a close game as well and I agree that the Patriots defense has looked better recently. The played really well during the Broncos game, though that was against Tebow. The Giants should have lost yesterday, but Kyle Williams handed them the game. Things do seem to be falling into place for them...I dunno. I'm really torn on the whole thing, BUT, the fact that the game will be indoors is probably an advantage for the Patriots. Should be an excellent game either way. I'm just glad the Steelers aren't playing.

Those were two pretty boring games but in the end I got the SB I wanted!
Hopefully both Tom and Ely play better than they have this past week end!

Wow. Great games yesterday, both of 'em. Watching the Ravens' kicker miss that field goal was heartbreaking, as was watching the 49ers' backup return man give the game away in OT. Obviously, there are numerous reasons the losing teams lost, but it was sad to watch the games end that way. Both games could've easily gone either way.
As for Giants-Pats II, I'm fucking excited. Which Tom Brady will show up? Will the Pats' D be able to put pressure on Eli? Which kicker or kick returner will blow the game? :-P

This is the matchup I wanted so Brady and the Patriots could get revenge on the Giants but it's also an extremely risky meeting since it could tarnish some of Brady's incredible legacy. I just hate that Giants fans could walk around saying "yeah Tom Brady might be one of the best players ever but Eli Manning owns him". The thought of that makes me sick. It's also mind blowing to think Eli might retire with more Super Bowl rings than Peyton. Go Patriots!!!!!

Wasn't a great game, but it was definitely intriguing enough throughout to maintain the ol' interest level. I think we can all agree that, as was the case with most of the playoff games that preceded it, it could've easily gone either way. The better defense won though, that much was clear. And Eli deserves the accolades, he played great, and he and his receivers outplayed Brady and his. Would a healthy Gronk have turned it? Impossible to say, but it's a shame we'll never know!

I hate the fact that Gronkowski wasn't fully healthy and I hate the fact that Welker dropped that pass. I wish it was just a shootout without all those mistakes and "what ifs". It would be really cool to see a football game end like a basketball game where both teams are just hitting shot after shot as its coming down to the wire.
It's too bad there were miscues, but as soon as the Pats couldn't convert and the Giants got the ball back with 3:46 left, I knew it was over. And sure enough, the first play is that 38 yard pass play down the sideline.
It was a good game overall. Definitely better than a blowout. Now I wanna see where Peyton ends up playing.

Yeah, I based my pick on Gronk being healthy and the Pats using Gronk and Hernandez as possession receiver and basically playing a time of possession game. Which would have helped their D even more. I knew the Pats D was better than most giving them credit for and the Giants were about where I thought they would be. I must admit that I wasn't expecting the rushing attack of the Giants to be as good as I thought it would be. But then again, I was expecting Gronk to be healthy and the Giants to not get the ball as much as they did. Giants killed the time of possession and rushing the ball and that's pretty much why they won in my opinion. Both teams defenses were actually pretty evenly matched, which I thought they would be. I feel that the Patriots did more to stop themselves than the Giants did, but oh well. It would have been nice to see a fully healthy Pats team, but hey, you play with the team you have and that's it. Eli was okay, but came up big when it counted. As for when I knew it was over....it was when the Pats got their third fumble off the Giants and for the third time couldn't get the ball. It was at that point that I basically threw up my hands and said, they not meant to win this one. I mean literally, 3 fumbles. One called back because of 12 men on the field, and two where the fumbles landed at the feet of a Giants player. But hey, what can you do. Good game all around.

this is all on Welker.... Gronk wasn't at 100% but to be honest that wouldn't have mattered if Wes made that catch. Also that intentional grounding call was total bullshit. They never call that but i bet the ref had some money riding on that. The odds for the first score of the game being a safety were like 60-1 or sum like that. put down 100 grand and you're rich as fuck. anyways... Giants came through in the clutch, so did Eli. I'm glad he now has more rings than that scum of the earth he has for a brother, Peyton.

I like his brother more for some reason. I've been a big Eli fan since he's come into the league which is why I really wasn't too disappointed by him winning. I would have been happy with either Brady or Eli winning. But Peyton is pretty funny and does have a nice natural connectability with people it seems.

Agreed. I've always liked Peyton. He seems like he'd be a decent guy and wouldn't be an asshole if you ran into him. I've never actually run into him so I can't say for sure, but he's certainly never done anything to draw the title of "scum of the earth" in my eyes. It's not like he's won 8 Super Bowls and is hated for dominating.
UNLESS lgfaver a Texans fan. I think Peyton's owned them year after year.

sorry but i am not a "texans fan". I'm a cowboys fan, you know, the franchise with the most trips to the super bowl ever? anyways, i don't hate Peyton, although he's known for being a bit of a douchebag. This is common knowledge to insiders, reporters and basically everyone who's been inside a Colts locker room. He also cheated on his wife, which is why she asked for the divorce. Having said all that i think he's a great regular season quarterback, perhaps the best ever. In the post season, it's a whole 'nother story though.

You don't hate him but you call him the scum of the earth? Let's see...you're not an insider or a reporter and I doubt you've ever been in the Colts locker room...so...why do you dislike him so much?
Cheating on his wife is obviously not a good thing, but I reserve judgment on things like that because I have no idea what his wife or his marriage is/was like. There's always another side to the story.

Cheating on his wife is obviously not a good thing, but I reserve judgment on things like that because I have no idea what his wife or his marriage is/was like. There's always another side to the story. First of all, you don't know what i am, what i'm not or where i've been. Second, if you watch ESPN/NFL Network and or follow the actual NFL insiders on twitter, or READ the newspaper(team beat writers) every once in a while, you'd know what i am referring to. Obviously you don't so just don't talk about stuff you know nothing about. You don't know what his marriage is/was like, neither do i. but we do know for a fact that he cheated. And that's never ok. You don't wanna be with someone any longer, just say so and move on. There is no good excuse. Really makes you wonder what kind of person you are.
