Hello people
I've heard quite a few of you singing the praises of Miles Kane. I liked his work with Alex Turner in the Last Shadow Puppets and that, but I've not heard his album. I'm taking the missus to see Kasabian next week and he's supporting so I'm looking forwards to checking him out. Any tunes you'd recommend me checking out beforehand?

Come Closer My Fantasy Inhaler Rearrange Colour Of The Trap
These are my favorites from his album, anyway. And I highly recommand you to check them out. I don't know if he plays the whole album at the gig, though.
Hope you enjoy the gig next week!

The whole damn thing is great. '60s rock/pop at its absolute finest. Check out the ballads: "Take The Night From Me" and "Colour Of The Trap."

Buy his album and listen to it I've seen him 4 times: The Last Shadow Puppets and as solo 3 times this year (including supporting Beady Eye in Paradiso in March). His perfomance at Paradiso really impressed me. I love his album and I can tell you he's on fire now. Great live and he's a very talented young man. This youngman gave the new birth to "Hey Bulldog" . Enjoy his album, stay safe and enjoy the gig

This is amazing live.....
Also check out his covers; Hey Bulldog, A Girl Like You & Heaven. They are incredible.
He'll probably only play a short set but he really goes for it so you'll have a good time.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll youtube his stuff later and if I like it and the gig I'll probably buy his album after Xmas when I can afford to spend money on myself again (got Kasabian then Paul McCartney in the lead up to Xmas and feel guilty enough about that haha)

Very talented guy, underrated I think, especially as a songwriter. Been right into The Last Shadow Puppets just now, forgot how good they were.
Anyways you will be blown away by Come Closer live, seen him at TITP and in Glasgow last month and that live is just incredible, place was jumping.

GIMH, you can watch Miles performance at Lowlands festival this year (not the whole set): 3voor12.vpro.nl/tv/#/41128679/45021930/60and scroll up a bit, then you can also watch his acoustic session before the gig

Seen him a few weeks ago supporting Kasabian, think it was 9 songs he played so almost the full album.
Seeing him live again in Glasgow in April, fair to say I can't wait!

He played a new song when I saw him last month. I think the second album will be out early next year.

I hope he does some US gigs, either solo or opening for a bigger band. Maybe when Kasabian comes to the states in the spring? Not sure what Mile's touring commitments are at that point.

I was thinking the very same. Kasabian's first US gigs in five (six?) years and Mile's first US gigs ever! Would be a tour to remember.

Looks like Miles doesn't have any gigs lined up for March or early April, the exact times Kasabian are touring the states. Perhaps he will be the opening band after all. Makes sense to me. I'm dying to see both acts live. I haven't seen Kasabian since they played Philadelphia in 2006. A hell of a long time ago.
